Picked up a new Sig 229R Saturday. Nice pistol, Sig fat, accurate. So far ordered a Galco holster and 2 mags to go with it.

The only thing is it has a E2 grip and you have to slam the mags in fairly hard to get them to seat.

Put around 500 rounds thru it so far.

I have a 1st generation 229 aND it's still a favorite size for me. The trigger has only gotten better with age and lots of rounds 10kish. Only thing I've done to it is change recoil springs.

I'm sure you will be happy for a long time.

229 is still my favorite of all my pistols.  I have a 224 that is great because it is like a little 229.  I have a 226 Legion that I pick up tomorrow that I hope to love.  I have a 220 10 mm that I love because it is a like a big 229.  But my 229 is still the one I love.
