Hornady LockNLoad kit - good or not so much?

The Hornady is perfectly fine.  Most all of them now are fine.  I use something from just about all of them. If you want to compare, I would recommend RCBS, but either is good.

I have had one the past 4 years and would buy it again.  I do only 9mm and .45ACP, but no rifle ammo.  Have no reason to believe it would be any different for rifle ammo as well.

The Lyman will do just fine.  I have one.  It really comes down to what accessories you want.  I like the RCBS powder measure and 502 scale better than the Lyman personally.  I kept the actual press as it is good, but sold off the Lyman 55 Powder Measure as I was familiar with the working of the RCBS before I bought my Lyman kit and just never got used to the 55.  That is not to say the 55 is bad.  There are thousands of people that like them and they have good overall reviews.

Thanks Hoz. If you were buying one of the kits from any company and starting from scratch, which brand would you lean towards? Rcbs, lee, lyman, hornady, etc...

Hornady looks to have a good kit, and I have heard good things.  Don't forget about Dillon though.  I bought a Dillon 550B kit when I decided to jump into the reloading realm and it works like a champ.

I was in no real hurry, but a sweet deal on a new RCBS kit came up on another site. Too good to pass up, so I'll have the rock chucker kit here in another day or two.

Hard to beat a Rockchucker. Also my experience with RCBS customer support has been outstanding.

Please suggest some dies brands and sets for 6.5CM.

Any reason not to opt for the Lee 4 die set? Price is most reasonable, and it looks to cover all bases other than micrometer type seater.
