AR Pistol

I've been wanting to build a AR pistol for a long time, and that day finally came

I purchased a 80% lower and had a friend set the machine up, no drill jig was used :dirty: , and it only cost me 1  drink to push the button on the machine.

Then I purchased a PSA pistol upper and LPK, I made a kind-of custom buffer tube foam cover, so here's my truck gun...

Shot 30 rounds this afternoon in the backyard and really liked it, my son's first comment was it's as loud as our Barrett 50.

I need to get BUIS, angle grip and install my red dot..

Is that a Noveske Pig under that rail?

I really like my pig. Throws the blast away from you, the shooter.

Milspec trigger?

I shot wolf out of it and I didn't see a flame, I was more concerned about the muzzle blast and noise, I S#!T you not that thing is as loud as 50, my boy stood to the side and back of me and walked away because it was uncomfortable, it's never going on my 16..

I bought that exact same upper the other week for my SBR.

Shot it this weekend out at a friends farm.  They were up at the house a few hundred yards away and thought I was shooting a 50.

It is loud but it is so much fun.

Not sure, but I can't think of a reason why they would, I've only seen 14.5" uppers pinned to make legal 16" uppers.

My buddy has a MP5SD and I've been wanting to built a 7.5" barreled upper + my suppressor under a 12"ish rail, after this pistol build I'm going to shelf that idea, I'll continue to use my 11.5" it's way more comfortable suppressed/unsuppressed.

I've got the beginnings of a pistol but i've been thinking 10.5" so i have the reliability of a carbine length gas system.. but i like the 7.5" looks... thought maybe if i bought one that was prebuilt i might not see the same level of issues.

Make one of each.  I see no real difference in my 10.5 to the 7.5.  Just get a muzzle device to direct it all down range.  I'm using the SAA dragons on mine.

Here's mine, it's a Gas piston Sig and I love it, even with the 7 1/2 inch barrel, but I want to get a budget model to use as a truck gun.  I think I want the same size for that use.

Do I misunderstand the laws or did your friend manufacture your firearm.

Did he have an FFL that allows him to?
