TLP-22

Tactical Solutions have always put out good products.  Their Pac-Lite threaded barrels are great for Ruger MK II and III.  Well they are finally coming out with a complete pistol.  I was instantly interested until I saw the suggested msrp or $1150.  That is a lot of money for a .22.  Of course by the time you buy a Ruger and then a Pac-Lite barrel, you are getting near those numbers.

It looks sharp but ouch!

When I asked my LGS about receiving a pac lite barrel through him he said why not just by a 22/45 lite? It was the same price and I got the entire gun instead of just a barrel. Is still have a MKII with a pencil barrel and it will stay that way unless pac lite slashes their prices.

Their stuff is top notch but their prices are over the top inmo.

I do dig me some .22 plinkers though!

threaded barrel?

Looks like it. A fine line at the end of the barrel. That should be the thread cap.

I had a Pac-Lite upper on a MKII and it was great. Never had any problems out of it. Whether they can make a reliable gun remains to be seen of course.

PacLite uppers for Rugers will eventually fail. The soft, aluminum breech face will be beaten so bad the liner will end up sticking out causing all kinds of problems. I sent one back after a short time because of it. They replaced it no questions asked but they are not durable enough for regular use.

Interesting.  Never had that problem with mine but did not shoot it that much either before I sold it.

I never had that problem with mine either - oh yeah, that one was yours at one time... :) I've since sold it to another TGOer.
