Working at Beretta?

Recommended Posts

Posted

Been thinking of switching my field of employment, and applying for an entry level position at Beretta. I've got a pretty strong Automotive background, but I'm looking to try and escape that field's pull. Beretta would  cut my commute in half (or more) from almost an hour to about 20-25 minutes. I would be making the same, if not more money. Do any of you guys work up there? Know anyone who does? Have any other suggestions? Just weighing my options a bit, and curious to see what it's like up there.

Google as much as possible, Glassdoor may give some insight.

Working for a gun mfg'er sounds cooler than automotive... Especially for similar dollars

Yeah, I checked glassdoor, and most of the feedback there was for the Maryland location. Very little about Gallatin. It's getting rough driving back and forth from Westmoreland to Rivergate every day for less money than Mcdonalds workers think they should be paid haha

Well A lot of it' depends on what your already doing in the automotive industry and how marketable those skills are which equates to how easily can I get rehired. If I knew I could take a job I really wanted with the knowledge I had career training and experience to go back to doing what I'd left behind me  I'd  do it.

I was a mechanic for 3 or four years before I came to the parts side but I've been on the parts side for about 2 and a half years. I could definitely get back in somewhere with my experience. Kinda throwing around options and seeing if anyone has any kind of helpful insight on Beretta really.

You've got a very marketable background that will always get you jobs at parts supply stores or car dealerships so if you can get hired at Beretta I'd say go for it. One of my BIL's started out at a dealerships parts counter and now has an upper level management job with an equipment supplier. You've done well for yourself.
