Shooting outside of city limits

Dear Inconsiderate firearm discharger:

There are safe firing ranges with established rules for the protection of all people at the firing range. There is proven research that justifies approved firing ranges that meet Federal, State, and Local firearms safety rules and procedures. Firing into dirt banks within two hundred yards of any potential humans straying within that radius is foolish and dangerous. Children and those people who have not been trained on how to safely walk around or in the vicinity of firearms being discharged are at risk and their safety is more important than one's entertainment. Also, people move out into the County to escape firearm discharge related noise. How would you like it if someone took 1500 "Cherry Bombs" or "M-80s" and set them off in your front yard, or in their front yard, for entertainment reasons, at anytime on any day?

The right to bear arms is protected by the Constitution of the United States. The right to cry "Fire" in a theater is not. There is good reason for both protections.

Society usually raises its voice in objection to freedoms when those freedoms impose themselves upon a citizen's own freedom from violation of their "Peace, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness".

Keep on disturbing the peace of those in the County with reckless and endangering and inconsiderate behavior and the peace loving considerate citizens will find a way to control your freedom to "Raise Cane" via a High Powered, High Velocity, Extremely Loud Firearm.... Laws are passed to protect people from other people's behavior...that violates "Life , Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness".

Whether it is in Rutherford County or Wilson County or "Any County Tennessee".

Happy New Year!

Dear ASSU,

I say ASSU you because in making such wild ASSUmptions, you have truly made an A$$ of yourself. You obviously either have some aversion to firearms/shooting, have an inconsiderate neighbor,or are truly just a Troll. For that, I am truly sorry. This does not excuse your blatant attack on me here however, but does affirm your small-mindedness.

You start and end by calling me inconsiderate after reading this one instance where one particular neighbor called the sheriff’s office. How do you know this isn’t some nosy neighbor that calls the police on every little thing that happens in the neighborhood? For all you know, this person calls the cops every 4th of July as well. Anyway, your assumptions are incorrect as the only time I have ever had the sheriff called was this one instance. I try to be very considerate- never shoot early in the morning, or on holidays like 4th of July where families might be intheir yards, etc. I try to regulate the time I shoot, limiting myself to an hour or so at a time. I Also intentionally try not to shoot two weekends in a row. No, I consider myself very considerate, unlike you with your inconsiderate wild accusations. Yes, there may be some neighbors that do not like me shooting at all in my woods, but hey, I may not like them letting their dogs run wild, or not mowing their yards as they should, or letting their teenagers roam the streets all hours of the night, or riding their dirtbikes and four wheelers all over the place but hey, they are my neighbors and I try to do all I can to tolerate them and be neighborly.

Your next eruption of presumptions pertain to safety, something you undoubtedly know very little about, evident by your reference that only shooting ranges are safe. You know nothing about the area in which I shoot, and further more insinuate that I “Fire into dirt banks within twohundred yards of any potential humans straying within that radius...†Why wouldyou make such an outlandish accusation? The incline I spoke of is a rather large natural hill ascending into MY woods, where I can plainly see their aren’t any humans “straying aroundâ€. The only mention I made regarding vicinity was where we parked my friends truck that day. Once again, you made a real A$$ of yourselfthere calling me reckless.

We do agree on one point though, Society usually raises its voice in objection to freedoms when those freedoms impose themselves upon a citizen's own freedom....". I’ll bet the difference between you and me though is that I sincerely try to be tolerant rather than arrogant and inconsiderate, traits of which you have demonstrated here on our Peace Loving forum. Good Riddance Troll!
