I sold my 500 years ago but if I recall I had to use a BIG screwdriver and put an adjustable wrench on it. I am talking like a 16" long screwdriver with a shaft that was 1/4" or bigger. Mine was an old police trade in when I picked it up.

Flip it "stock up" and soak some WD-40 in there over night. Then use the BIG screwdriver mentioned above.

They use a bunch of locktite when they slap them together in addition to the threads digging into the synthetic stocks...can be a booger to get off.

If I remember correctly, I think a 1/2" or 5/8" socket will fit it as well. Should get a better "bite" with an extension bar and a ratchet....

I do recall mine was tight but I didn't need an extra pair of hands with the ratchet.

Here you go like they said get a bigger screw driver on it, and then tap on the end of the screw driver a few times. Not to hard but hard enough. That will break the threads on it.

Good luck.
