Maybe its just due to the holiday season, maybe I am more in tune with the news this week, but if I have to go to Knoxville or some of the cities that surround Knoxville this week, I am packing more than my standard carry.  This is the news for the past 48 hours:

I would say increase your awareness. But that's pretty normal this time of year anyway.

And on a side note.... I used to work with the guy that was stealing packages. Knowing him a bit, I can't say I'm completely surprised but I'm sad to see that. I hope he can get his life turned around.

Seems to have really picked up last few weeks. I always have plenty of protection on me. Service station was robbed about a 1000 yards from my office a few weeks ago. Always have a pistol in my desk but have added a shotgun to the mix. Also instructed my female staff to keep door locked if I am not there. And I'm located in a very good area. My wife is now finally carrying every day instead of off and on.

Yeah, I watch the news regularly too and this stuff is just the normal up tick in holiday stupid. Gotta love it huh? Tis' the season and all. With the cold weather and having to wear a coat I keep a BUG in my left coat pocket incase someone should notice the one my right hip and decide that I don't need to be havin that on me. Try to take the one on my right side you get popped by the one on my left side. I tend to become a hermit though when the holiday crazy season starts because I don't like being in the crowds and close quarters that come with places like Walmart and Sam's Club. I just avoid them.
