It is my understanding that the current owner will be operating the range himself. It is still unknown how it is going to happen. The Owl Hollow Gun Club (organization itself) is staying together at a discounted rate. They are currently looking for new property. There is also on option for an indoor range, but I think it is the Uelstons (sp) range.

Right, I was told he owner of the land was going to be operating the range himself. I just kind of hoped he had been gung ho about it and was ready for customers. My buddy, who is a member, and I want pretty regularly and would like to continue to go if the owner gets himself together...

It will be sad if the owner doesn't really get off his butt enough to pull it off and it just sits there un used.

My guess is, it will go back to the way it used to be, before the gun club really got involved and took over the day to day stuff. We used to have to walk through the woods up to the house on the next property, you drive by the house on the way in, off the main road. Knock on the door and hope someone answered it, fill out paperwork, pay your money, get a membership button and hope to never have to go back there again, that is until you bring a guest. Oh and most of the time they never let you in the door, not that you really wanted to go in there anyway, something about the old man on his death bed in the next room was disturbing. And don't worry about the dogs either.

I got an email the other day from the OHGC president, and it looks like the indoor range is On Target in Murfreesboro. Once you join the club for this year, you can get a discount off a membership at On Target. I believe the fee is reduced for club members to $150.00. Also it looks like there are some other perks such as discounted price for concealed carry classes.

Personally, I dont have 150 bones laying around right now and Murfreesboro is kind of a hike for me so Im gonna pass. Im definatley renewing my OHGC membership for $20 though, to help out with the search for a new range

Charlie is the owner and he is keeping it open. I showed up on Sunday and met (his cousin or brother, I can't remember) Jim. I paid $40 for the year and got a receipt. He will mail the button to you. They plan on keeping the same hours of operation.

I joined New Years Day,few others also. Stopped at his house. You could mail it and use Money Order for receipt untill he mails your button.

Does the path that goes up the hill just to the left of the 100 yard benches lead up to the house? I really want to get out there and shoot.

The path near the port-a-potty goes up to the house.

I was out there last Saturday and met Charlie. Super nice guy and seems to harbor no ill-will towards the gun club members. Said he'd love to have them back. I was there as a guest, but hope to join.
