If you were going to write a gun story wouldn’t you do some fact checking?

The Smith & Wesson M&P Shield, which was introduced in 2005, is a lightweight, concealable pistol which is encased in a polymer frame.

The Shield was introduced in 2012; they are talking about the full size.

The Shield comes in 9mm, 40 S&W, and .45 full auto calibers, and is widely used by law enforcement and military personnel.

Again… the full size.

Good to see S&W at the top of the heap though.

Motley Fool doesn't let facts get in the way of it's click baiting!

(I've done some investing and used to respect that site for it's even handed common-sense investment advice, but they've really gone to the dogs in the last several years - clearly an article designed to talk up someone's book and get people to click on the link). Oh, it must just be coincidence that the top 2 company's are the only publicly traded manufacturers... pure co-inkydink.

Never heard of .45 full auto, is it new?

Fact checking? How about proof reading?

In their next story they will announce a .45 Full auto in 9mm lol

I would say that is skirting the line of breaking the law..... and maybe your wrist if it is full auto. Plus that is one ugly fore grip. Never liked the finger grooves in those.

Here's some more info about it. http://www.guns.com/2012/09/26/lebman-1911-machine-pistol/  Joe Montegna was shown firing one in Midway USA's most recent episode of Gun Stories show about John Dillinger.

That is one butt ugly pistol.  About as bad as the current crop of Scorpion machine pistols. I saw the Glock Girl shoot the full auto Glock on Mail Call with the Gunny and unless you were providing close protection of a principal I don't see much use for it.  Especially since you can get an MP5 compact for about the same size.

Cool history. To me it is sad that he was tried for that. Back then doing stuff like that was not thought of as illegal.

How much innovation in a lot of gun areas are we not seeing because someone is scared to death that they will get arrested for working on it? Innovation has always come best from the free minds that work outside the corporate box. Corporations are driven by their marketing departments and sales, not R&D
