Surround Sound advice?

I'm wanting to buy a surround sound system for the living room. I browsed Amazon and found some decent looking setups but don't recognize many of the names. I don't mess with much electronics wise anymore so just because I don't recognize it doesn't mean it's junk these days. Any of you run decent prices systems? Of course I'd love Bose but not looking to spend Bose money. Recommendations appreciated.

The Vizio sound bars with wireless subwoofer and remote speakers works very well for me. They are reasonably priced.

Don't really know much about them, but I've also got a Vizio with bar and just remote subwoofer, pretty darn good seems, 'bout $125 or so at Sam's best I remember.

I'm running a Denon 5.1 receiver (room isn't ideal for 7.1 or 9.1) and a yamaha speaker setup.

The receiver was 220 from Crutchfield.

Speakers were 120 when I bought them from Amazon.

I already had speaker mounts and my HDMI cables.  This has been a fantastic setup.  I didn't link my receiver model as its a 2011 model that I bought in 2012 and its not available anywhere any longer.

All in I have under 400 dollars in this and I use it to run everything.  I have it setup with passthrough so I don't use the TV remote or settings at all.  I use the receiver to change inputs and volume control.

I still use the Sony 5.3 systems (I have 3) and found my latest one on Clist for my downstairs tv used for $75.  Not bad for 500w.

It's pricey but we started buying Sonos units last Christmas and I want to add another Play.1 and Play.5 to the mix this year.  We have a few Play.1's now and one Play.5.
