Although I am in no immediate danger from fire, the mountain I live on is also on fire right now, the smoke is the more worrying matter. Yesterday it was so thick it was actually causing me some discomfort. I have no respiratory issues so I can not imagine the problems those who do have respiratory problems are having. It was thick enough that you could feel it in your eyes and definitely feel it as you breath. Hopefully the storm put them out. I have never seen it this bad in my entire life.

When we first moved into our house my father and I noticed some smoke coming from up above my newly built house. When the smoke plume continued to get bigger we ran up to investigate and found a small fire climbing up an embankment. We, as well as some neighbors, were able to put it out. As we were walking back down we found crumpled up wads of paper that were partially burned. It looked like someone was lighting the paper on fire and throwing it out the window as they were driving out. We never caught who did it but I have always wondered why the hell people do crap like this.

If I ever catch someone trying to start a fire I can promise that their trip to jail will be proceeded by a visit to the hospital first.
