My truck was broken into

I went to pick up my truck from the dealership yesterday and found it had been broken into.It was at Courtesy Chevolet in Kingsport.

They got my hunting bag that had the following items.

10 x 50 Swarovski Bino

8 x 30 Swarovski laser range finder.

Etrex gps

Double set of stag handle knives of Alaska

Surefire flash light

and just odds and ends.

If any of you guys in the area happen to come along some low life SOB selling these type of items I sure would appreciate a line.

He may be wearing a new pair of Rocky work boots, the left one has a squeak.

The knives were a gift from a few years back,out of all of it I would like them back the most.

If this person has any way to identify you or find out where you live, he probably has a good idea where he can get some other hunting supplies now, too. Like guns.

The lot policy might not but their insurance will if you push the issue. I was having my work trailer repaired (tree damage), and they called me. It seemed someone had broken into the trialer, destroyed the alarm, and made off with about $3500.00 in tools. The repair shop's insurance company ponied up and paid to have my stuff replaced.

Go back to the repair shop, speak with the manager. Their policy may not help but they have to have insurance and it will.

Was your truck the only one broken into?

If it was, there is a good chance it was an inside job.

Why else would they only chose the one with several thousand dollars worth of easily pawnable items?

I usally clean out the truck.I had been on the road for about 8 days and drove straight through from Texas I thought I unloaded evthing but my jacket.The pack was under the jacket which they took.It was a little cool in the deer stand this morning.

Im waiting to hear back from the dealership about the insurance issue.

I did not purchase the 08 truck from them but did purchase an 08 Escalade from them for my wife and was looking at another suburban for the company.They do service all my vehicles so maybe they will work with me.

Mine were solid green,I havent looked for a pair in a while but,I have never seen a pair that looked like these.

For sure keep a eye open at pawn shops. Really wouldn't hurt to call a few and leave information of what was stolen at least then if it did show up they might be able to get a name or address. Lots of them just purchase items without any ID from sellers. Best of luck hope you get a chance to recover your items.
