Probably never. If you applied for a HCP on the other hand, probably in a couple months. :chill:

How lone will it take to get my CCP?

i've been told they have to issue within 90 days. some here have received theirs in less time. my printing took place the 16th of this month so i'm only two weeks in. i'm told to call @ three weeks to check the status. it is a waiting game @ this point. let us know when it arrives, i certainly intend too!!!

The above falls falls into the category of calling things as they are. You want to call a Tennessee HCP a ccw or a ccp fine- but you're wrong. Want to call a magazine a clip (or a bologna sandwich) fine- but you'd be wrong.

I don't know where I'm going with my "rant" but I feel better having done so. :chill:

Same here. I got finger printed yesterday (12-31-08). I did not take long at all. They use a scanner instead of ink. Now the wait is on. I got finger printed at The Sumner County Board of Education in Gallatin, TN. Funny isn't it. Can't take a handgun on school property, but can get finger printed at the Board of Education. What number do you call to check on the status of the permit? Thanks, gearyr

I believe that the key is to make the call... I did and sure enough they issued it that day and sent it to me in the mail, 4 days later I had it!!!!

I did mine in Nov and got it second week in Dec, somewhere around 28 days... I still believe the key to getting it issued was to make "the call" which I did 3 weeks after my app....

Heres my post the day I got mine.....

GOT IT, in the mail today......... Called on Tue 12/9 to check status and it was issued that day... Total time - Application on 11/15 - Fingerprinted 11/17 - Received 12/12.......

The wait time seems to have improved since last summer when I applied. My wait was 57 days and at the time, that was quick.

fingerprinted Dec 16th, made the infamous phone call today (3 weeks) and was told it processed today and to allow 7 - 10 days b4 I received it. Funny how everyone is saying the same thing, when u make the phone call, you were either processed the day b4 or on that day. Hummmmm, what if you didn't make that call???? i thinks i smell something :poop:

I took me right at 22 days, just before Christmas. After 2weeks I called them and was told it would be in the mail in the next 5 to 7days. They are getting much faster.

expect to not be able to understand the person on the other end, as they mumble and seem so excited about being employed. call me old fashioned, but i hate to talk to someone on the phone who sounds like they have a mouth full of s**t...but thats just me.
