Emerson knives...your thoughts on them.

I have been looking for a robust karambit lately and I noticed that Emerson is coming out with a XHD karambit.  The price point will be relatively expensive and since I have never owned an Emerson I am a little hesitant.  Have any of you owned Emerson knives?  What do you think about them in terms of quality...fit and finish...etc...?

I have an Emerson Journeyman that's tough as nails. From what I've been able to gather a lot of police and military swear by Emerson for their durability.

My Journeyman goes through hell I'm sorry to say. I was told to use it when I received it as a gift so by golly I do. It looks pretty sad but have yet to disappoint.

Had an Emerson horseman. The chisel grind was hard to get used to. Knife was very stiff out of the box I had to take it apart to grease it. Then I worried about it accidentally opening via the wave feature in my pocket without my knowledge and me slicing my hand open. I got rid of mine. But many are happy to have theirs. YMMV
