untilCovert Protective Pistol III will continue the American Armed Citizen series, with an emphasis of the skills needed to be a responsible Armed Citizen. CCP III will start with discussion of the preamble that led up to a possible lethal force encounter and measures that can be taken to circumvent an attack and if a fight is imminent, what can be done to regain the Cycle of Initiative. Emphasis will be given to examining the close proximity gunfight (0-3 yards), skills needed that will create the opportunity to earn firearms access and employment. Additionally, students will be taught alternate sight alignment methodology to augment their previously mastered sight alignment methods that will continue to build on your robust, individual protective system. Realistic scenario drills, precision marksmanship, target discrimination, support hand only, and unorthodox weapons access methods are some of the other topics that will be covered in this fast paced, exciting coursework. Prerequisite: Covert Protective Pistol I or Equivalent. For questions of requirements call or email. Always Vigilant, Always Prepared! Personal Survival Solutions Shane & Calley Kerwin

We will also cover manipulating the pistol in the dark both with and without a light in our hands. We will load , unload and clear malfunctions with and without flashlights. A fair amount of time will also be devoted to using the flashlight as a tool to help you get deselected in the "pre fight interview" , use the light as a distraction device and impact weapon, and as a bridge from less lethal to lethal force. Range Gear and requirements : Handheld flashlight (Surefire 6P, G2, Streamlight Scorpion or similar). Extra batteries. Pistol and holster designed to be worn on the belt. Two spare mags (3 total minimum) and a mag pouch. Range Safety gear (eye and ear protection) . Clothing appropriate for weather. Snacks and drinks. If you have a "blue gun" or airsoft gun and training knife or inert "trainer" pepper spray you want to bring feel free to do so. We will be doing some interactive exercises where students will play the role of both good guys and bad guys to get a better feel for just what each experiences when the techniques are applied in low light. If you don't see it from both sides you only know about half of what is going on. A $50 deposit will hold a spot for you in this class. Balance due at class. You are also welcome to pay in full in advance too. We are limiting it to 16 students so you might want to get your deposit in soon. We have all seen them. We know they are innocent, but someone made them UGLY. Like a car wreck we can't look away. We just hope someone will move them to a safer more loving home where they can blossom into the beautiful guns they have inside. Some may be too far gone and we just have to give them as merciful and dignified end. Let's post the UGLY guns to raise awareness of the mistreatment they receive. Maybe we can save a few from the same sad fate.

On the evening of Saturday July 29 we will be offering a LOW LIGHT Training Day. Come out and work those pistol and flashlight skills you learned in CRG 2 or in the Low Light class or Low Light FOF classes. We will do a little refresher dry work and then spend the majority of the time working on live fire drills in diminishing and low light. This is the perfect opportunity to get some reps of live fire both with and without your flashlight in diminishing and low light. If you've never shot in the dark then you have a serious hole in your skill set. The first time you shoot in low light should not be in a real confrontation. Come out and work these skills and have some fun!SUAREZ INTERNATIONAL TN / GA / AL Training Group When: SATURDAY July 29 Instructor: Tier 1 Suarez Int Staff Instructor Randy HarrisLocation: The usual place- Phillips/Edwards Farm 763 County Rd 332 Pisgah AL 35765 Time: 5PM CENTRAL time - 11PM CENTRAL timePrice: $100 - pay at class cash or check. Notice the price is a little higher than usual because the material is a bit more advanced due to the low light environment. What you need to bring: Pistol, pistol magazines, FLASHLIGHT and at least 200 rounds of ammo. Revolvers are welcome if you want to party like it is 1899. WEAPON MOUNTED LIGHTS ARE FINE BUT MAKE SURE YOU BRING A HANDHELD LIGHT ALSO. Also if you want to bring a rifle or shotgun or pistol caliber carbine or your Stakeout to see how the muzzle flash really is in low light then bring them. We can shoot some drills with weapons other than pistols too. I'd like to get a head count on this for who is planning to attend so please either respond in this thread or PM me if you plan to attend. Instead of breaking for dinner we might just cook out at the range but I will need a solid count on how many we have coming to make that happen. Hope to see you (or not see you ) there.
