untilIf there is an emergency, would you know what to do to save a life? This is a course of instruction in emergency medical care during a hostile/critical incident. Topics include austere medical interventions in a dynamic environment and how its focus differs from the civil model, with scene evaluation, remote assessment and triage, movement of patients, management of weapons and gear under threat. Students will conduct patient evaluation, utilizing S-MARCH/5-B’s sequence of treatment with corrective intervention and support. Additionally, students will learn to recognize and treat shock, as well as participation in hands-on practical scenarios that require them to utilize the skills they have learned under stress.
