Okay, about how much does each barrel weigh?

I think that is a spacer that comes in some kydex/polymer/plastic holsters to keep the holster from getting distorted/crushed during shipping.     If I am right, what do I win?

I have always wondered if you could sell it to Phillips metals(old steiner liff) place downtown. I am a plumber and once a year I sell all my scrap copper/brass.  I have wondered if you could sell it there as yellow brass, which is usually about 2$ a pound.  Might be worth a phone call.   If you are just giving it away, I would do my best to get a couple barrels.

I have yet to be stopped while carrying, but I figured as soon as the officer got close to my window I would start yelling "I have a gun! I have a gun!"   I think that would end pretty well.

So my persistance was finally rewarded tonight. I know all the info says Walmart puts out their ammo in the morning, but I still stop by at night if I am near.  Tonight at the 100 oaks store around 7:45, I find ten boxes of federal 100 round .223.  Of course they would only let me buy three.  I asked how long it had been out, and the guy told me he put it out about thirty minutes ago.  There is no telling how many times I have stopped and looked, only to leave empty-handed.  So a liitle victory for me!        Now off to Armslist to gouge.............NOT!

I rarely buy ammo at a gun store.  Even before all the craziness, I went to Walmart a couple times a week to stock up.  If prices and availability don't return to near normal in the next six months, I might have to find a new hobby.

If 60 cents per round is the new price, I think I am not going to be able to shoot as much.

If somebody will pay it, it is worth it.  But I know what you mean.  I am probably not going to buy a gun for six months.
