  1. It doesn't work like that...it's a cruiser/persuader model 500...it's basically the same gun without the bayonet lug and some of the beefier parts. Sorry for the incorrect model. Unscrewing the end lug only enables you to remove the barrel. The mag tube is solid.
  2. Alright I'll rephrase...are they collectors? I have all intentions of keeping them since they were in the family. I just don't know anything about collecting knives.
  3. I have a Buck Creek Solingen. A Case XX or known as a diamondback? Are these common or worth hanging on to?
  4. Well here is what I found on the mag tube. The mag tube is screwed into the reciever and sealed with locktight. I tried twisting it and even with my herculean effort, it wouldn't budge. Some guys on another forum suggested to put the gun in a vise (obviously after padding it) and use a wrench to turn the tube and break the seal, and that once the seal broke you could hand turn it from then on. I am not sure that I want to try that just yet. I can shove the 8th round in as far as that arm that loads rounds from the tube, so I pushed it in that far and am letting it sit there for awhile. As far as upgraded followers are concerned, I saw where it was pointed out that the beefier follower reduced the mag capacity by one, which would defeat my purpose.
  5. Well 8 is what the manual says it will hold.
  6. Hey guys, I am having a problem, that I only recently discovered, with my shotgun. When I first got it, I could squeeze in 8 2 and 3/4 inch shells into the mag tube. Now I cant get that last shell in by a good 1/8th of an inch. I haven't changed the ammo I use. This really depresses me, because I bought it last February brand new Any ideas?
  7. That's really cool. (no pun intended!)

    worst rifle ever!

Yeah if that bayonet don't scare them off, the blast and concussion will. Oh and since the rest of you don't like M44s, I would be glad to take one off someones hands.

    worst rifle ever!

    This.
  10. I saw one at TCGD earlier this week just like that. My dad's pro carry II shoots right on the money.
  11. The next one on my list would either be a Desert Eagle 44 mag or the new Ruger SR1911.
  12. Well sir, the only time I have to sit down and do each individual operation to every case individually is currently one day a week. I have watched Hickok45s progressive press reloading videos, and it doesn't look that bad as long as you pay attention to what you are doing and have the correct tools and supplies. He uses the Dillon press, and I have looked at them, however they are somewhat out of my pricing range. :/
  13. HAHA! You guys are great! Yeah I think Hollywood would probably screw up the Dirty Harry series. And yeah I bet that he would be carrying a 500 magnum...and perhaps the Desert Eagle 50 AE, like when he goes to the 44 magnum auto mag. Or maybe he will use a BFR!!! ...but perhaps that's OVERKILL.
  14. 629 Classic .44 magnum and my dad's 19-5 .357 magnum
  15. Hey how about this setup? Presses - Lee Load Master - Titan Reloading
  16. Yeah that's what I have been told before.
  17. Try looking at this gun. http://www.gunauction.com/search/displayitem.cfm?itemnum=5936222 Or perhaps this site that has several that are very similar to it. Pistols Hope this helps.
  18. Welcome to the forum.
  19. Mr. Brian, pm sent.
  20. I have saved all my brass since I started shooting. I have enough to work with if I started doing it myself.
  21. I have the full size M&P 45. I like the gun alright but it shoots low I have shot it enough to determine that. I need to find a shorter front sight.
  22. Thanks parrothead! I was taking him shopping tomorrow anyway. We will go have a look at Byrd's (cause they have a 44 magnum I am thinking about) and then head on up to TCGD.
  23. Would be nice if you could shoot the dang thing before you buy it ha.
  24. Greg, The reason I ask is I have watched Hickok45s video on the ATI and it shot low for him, and he said the trigger was a little stiff. $400 gun though.
  25. I have a friend who is in love with the 1911 platform, but he doesn't have a ton of money to spend. He hasn't even ever owned a gun, shot but not owned. I want to point him in an affordable direction to a 1911 plinker he can learn with. ATI or RI? Is one better than the other? WHY?
