I usually carry a .45, but if I am carrying my 44 mag and I'm attacked, one shot is probably all it will take to neutralize someone with a caliber of that power.

Going back to that Yugo ammo, that is some dirty stuff! It takes me forever to clean my sks after running 100 rounds of that ammo through it, but I am sorta ocd about how I clean my guns anyway so that could be part of it.

All it says for me is sorry no new content found, even if i modify the options on the side menu to topics I participated in.

If the yugo does not have a chrome lined barrel, just get a Russian. They are the best looking SKS imo. I love the ones that have the red tones in the stock. With that said, if I were collecting SKS rifles, I would have a Yugo just because they have a neat design.

Depressing that friggin spring that is under the rear sight requires more than one set of hands. I should say, it is when you are re-installing something to the rear sight base.

I don't like folders either...they just don't look good.

I have a 1942 Long Branch model with the flip 300 and 600 yard sights. Privi 174 grain is the ammo of choice for me, and Wideners sells it for 13 per box of 20.

I did a simple forest service style trail sign for the Tusculum Park Walking Trail. I had to get materials donated from Lowes and I used our tractor to dig the holes for the sign. I had 4 or 5 people help out with the assembly. I had to keep track of the hours. Another guy in my troop built two identical to mine later on for the other parking lots behind Greene Valley Developmental Center, but I would drive by and see only his dad out there working on it, so I don't feel he earned it. I'll look and see if I have a picture anywhere to upload.
