http://freebeacon.com/issues/obama-executive-order-may-require-those-selling-even-a-single-firearm-become-licensed-dealers/ hmmm.......one or maybe 2 guns sold could qualify you as a dealer. No wonder we do not trust BO's administration. -

BTW....no one is mentioning these high tech safety mechanisms that he is proposing for new firearms. A fingerprint type release would be fine if i was the only on etpo ever use my gun. Occasionally, my wife, adult children and friends may want to shoot my firearms. With a huge supply of firearms now in circulation in US, will this older firearms now be more valued and worth more? :2cents: -

How do you surmise that a potential gun purchaser is not a felon? Further, what about the good dentist, gr8smiles, who happens to have a fabulous gun collection but wants to lighten the load as he did this year. I am quite certain that BO would definitely consider him a "dealer". -

I say that BO just handed the 2016 Presidential Election to the GOP. This will galvanize gun owners and they will show up at the polls. -

Hozzie, Judge Nataliano has a different opinion from you. He just said that you would have to be licensed to sell that gun to your brother and said it is an assault on the 2nd amendment. In essence, we can buy firearms but cannot sell them. -

If I heard BO correctly....ANYONE that sell firearms will have to be an FFL and conduct background checks. My question is this.....Do I need to be an FFL in order to sell my shotgun to my brother-in-law? Does this all but shutdown the Firearms classified at this site? -
Well I went out to my hunting site yesterday for the last day of deer season. I saw three doe early in the day with 2 being shootable. They never offered a shot and there was too many trees between me them. I thought I would have another shot at them possibly later in the evening. As evening wore on, I heard a lot of leaves rustling and thought they may be returning....instead a group of day hikers stopped about 20 yds from my blind and persisted to stop and chat. I stuck my head out of the blind because apparently they could not see it or did not care that I was hunting. One said he was sorry and they did trudge off and I am sure wasting my opportunity to get some venison in the ole freezer.
-
Well make up your mind Willis. You can only have one of these and pass on the other.

Nice day Shooter.....We sat in blind for 6 hrs and saw squat.

I did discover from the TWRA today that active military do not need hunting licenses as long as they have leave papers.
-
This is my first year to deer hunt in probably 35 years and I do think they could be just a bit clearer with the licenses and limits that we can do in TN.
-
My point was that it is not listed on the resident license page, so their is no price offered on the twra site that I saw.
-
You speak of this type 94 license, yet I do not even see it listed on the twra publication. http://issuu.com/thebinghamgroup/docs/hunt_trap_guide_2015-2016?e=18073349/14694585

Question for you deer hunters...... Today, Checked my game camera and all I saw was a lot of does. Thus far I have only shot a buck and have the following licenses: 01 Resident Combo Hunt/Fish 09 Resident Big Game Gun I plan to hunt where my game camera is next week and if all I see is does, do I need a different license to shoot a doe?
-
Looking great Omega! I forgot to mention something that happened to me when i was field dressing the 10 pt buck that I shot this week. I have him just about cleaned out and I see a Doe and two yearlings come out of the woods. I stopped and starred and they came within 20 yds of me. I thought that I must have killed Dad and they did not look very happy. They soon ran back into the woods though. Kind of eery.

I will start one and you can add to it Slappy. 1) Warm camo jacket 2) Camo hunting bib or camo pants (Warm) 3) Blaze orange vest and hat 4) Knife (sharp) 5) Rope....may be helpful in getting your beast out of forrest 6) Thermals.....do not want to be cold when that big buck comes into view 7) binoculars 8) Scent block spray 9) Tree stand or ground blind 10) Toilet paper (good cheap way to mark your blood trail and has duel use) 11) Cell phone is nice.....camera and you can check your game in now online

Very Nice Buck!!!! Did you get him in Montgomery County?
-
I told the Flowers processing guy that I nicked the gut when I was field dressing it and he smelled again and said he was sure that the meat was spoiled. Very sad day for me.
-
Rob my problem may have been that it stayed overnight in the woods before I could find it the next day at first light. I dragged it out of woods and hung it and field dressed it immediately after. I then drove to check it in (should have done that on line) and then drove all the way up to Flowers for processing. I did puncture the gut slightly when I was field dressing but I brought the field dressed deer back to my home and rinsed it out. According to you this was a real no no.

The excitement and joy of yesterday turned into misery today but I learned a few lessons that I want to pass along. I should start t by saying that I shot a beautiful 10 pt Buck yesterday around dusk. I waited as long as possible and then looked for a blood trail and deer well past dark. I was forced to give up last night and went back at first light today. Again there was no blood within 25 yds of shot and I was abit worried. Finally , I [picked up the blood trail and he was bleeding rather profusely now. I was able to trace the blood trail and find him about 100 yds from the shot location in thick brush. Last night lows were only about 45. I dragged this deer out of woods and field dressed the buck. I then loaded it up and took it and checked it in and then went straight to Flowers to process. They reported to me that the meat was now bad and I only saved the antlers. Lessons learned: 1) If you are going to shoot a deer at dusk. make certain of nightly expected temps before taking the shot in case you cannot find the deer and must leave overnight. Deer meat needs to be at 40 or below. 2) Save time checking in deer with online check in now.....wish I had known 3) Now with a 2 buck limit and I am down to 1, got to make that one count

I really hate to hear that Luke. That is a primary reason why the rest of us can only harvest 2 bucks this year. With hunters taking baby bucks there will be no big bucks for coming years and we may just see TN adopt a northern limit of one buck each.

Well boys I had planned to go check on my game camera tomorrow to see if I possibly needed to move the camera to a different location. This afternoon though, I looked into my backyard and what did I see? A beautiful 10 point buck standing 30 yards from my door. I carefully got my deer rifle out, loaded it, and waited patiently by my open upstairs window. He had whole family in tow and there were 3 other does and 2 fawns grazing. He offered me a broadside shot and I took it. Unfortunately it was just before dusk and after I waited 25 minutes, it was too dark to follow a blood trail. I will have to resume the search in the AM with the aid of the sun. It has been about an hour and a half and I am still shaking......what a high!

My wife looked at a lot of personal carry pistols while at the nRA convention this year and she liked the S&W MP Bodyguard with laser. I found one at Buds for around $350
