My man....Ted Cruz....took a nice victory last night and gets a score of 100 from the NRA!!!!!

With the Presidential campaigns heating up, it really amazes me that Gov Christie has not been questioned regarding his states draconian gun laws. You will recall that a young single mother from Philli with a concealed carry permit crossed the border into NJ and was arrested for having a legal hand gun!!! Further, you probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting a concealed carry permit in NJ.    The true answer for backward states like this is a National Carry Permit.......it is our constitutional right!!!!

I shot one buck myself this year vs none last year. I am not sure the additional buck harvest is due to TWRA planning. The buck limit was just reduced this year.

No one has addressed my question.....Whit limits on bucks cut down 33% and less hunters in the woods, how do we have more bucks killed than last year?

So if I looked at the final numbers correctly, we harvested over 2,100 bucks this year than last year. This is in spite of going from a 3 buck limit to a 2 buck limit. I keep seeing stats that show hunting participation is still going down. So with # of hunters in decline and the # of allowable bucks limited down by 33%, how could we have harvested that many more this year than last year?

So my current understanding is that as long as I am hunting on private land, I can hunt a doe but not a buck in Unit L only. I may try to get out to the field tomorrow.

  Lagerhead, You might consider attending the Tennessee Classic in the Spring and actually make your own bow. Great bow makers are present to assist, free camping, free use of hand tools. 

  Luke I did also think that this extra week was only for land owners only. Can you confirm this?

  Luke unfortunately it is not MY private land so I do think my deer season is over.

Thanks for the kind words Luke. No, I was hunting on private land and that its what surprised me most about hikers on the last day to hunt Bambi.
