  4. I don't loan guns, motorcycles, or boats......to anyone....other thing i may loan on a case by case basis....if you think im stingy wit my chit....no, just been burnt 1 too many times.
  5. Right now we have a puppet and a buffoon.  If the liberals get a REAL team in place.....well, lets just hope not.  Of course if they win control of the House, it probably won't even matter by then.
  6. McCain got roses today for his vote on gun control:     http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/03/john-mccain-roses_n_3205739.html
  7. I used one about 20 years ago while living in New Mexico and was reloading 44 mag at the time with a RCBS Jr.  As I remember it worked fine and I used it for a couple of years.  I would check it with the scales and it was always dialed in, but I don't remember the load or the rotor I used.
  8. DANG that's a great price...but if i buy any more ammo, I'll be sleeping on the back porch with my boxer....if it wasn't gonna rain.......lol.
  9. that' exactly what I thought as i read this thread.
  10. Thank you for your service to our country Robert and welcome to TGO..!
  11. "While Elmer’s goes to great lengths to hide its association with the deadly X-Acto knives, in the wake of the Texas stabbings, the Austin Association of Unwed Lesbian Mothers Against Violence And Gendered Pronouns has called on the company to demonstrate responsibility by taking voluntary steps to make its weapons less of a threat to life and limb."   LOL....a satire for sure.  I loved the " Austin Association of Unwed Lesbian Mothers Against Violence And Gendered Pronouns".  Sadly....fact usually follows fiction. Give the Liberals time....we'll be there before you know it.
  12. There's so many excellent pistols out there, it really comes down to what fits your hand and catches your eye. I have polymer, SS steel and blue steel pistols, some are full size, some are compacts. I do have a couple that makes every trip to the range, and others that might go...might stay in the safe. I enjoy them all really to some degree.
  13. I'd say this would be a good way to go after Medicare, Medicade, Welfare and all the other 'cares and ade's that are defrauded of billions of our tax dollars every year.
  14. I used to shoot there quite a bit. it was ok and nothing fancy, but it got the job done. I'm glad to hear improvements are being done. I'll have to check it out again when it opens.
  15. Thanks...i has a very sweet trigger. I just hope its as accurate as I've heard that cz's are.
  16. no, its a state forest and wildlife management area more than a state park. its not like Fall Creak Falls for instance. lots of atv trails though.
  17. you can try Prentice Cooper wildlife management area. its a pretty close range with pistol and rifle rranges. no long distance though. there is a website with directions, but i just saw a note that the range is closed until may 16th for improvements.
  18. The main reason I wanted the 40 is that I had 3 9mm and didn't have a 40. After seeing a couple of CZ's on here, I decided I wanted one. I read up on them and saw some really good reviews on both calibers, but since I didn't have a 40, that's what I decided on. I haven't shoot it yet, but I plan on it this weekend. I hope I'm not disappointed.
  19. Thanks BigK, I'll definitely check those out.
  20. is your Safariland a belt holster, or a paddle?
  21. After researching, I'm going with the Fobus Evolution. they are available for both the Glock 34 and the CZ. I can get them at Academy for about $25 each. having the same holster design for both I think will work out well as far as continuity.
  22. Same here. The latest paper I subscribed to was the Chattanooga Times Free Press. I canceled several years ago after some editor named Rebecca decided they would post personal information about thousands of people. The information served no purpose.
  23. I spent some time in that part of the country over 20 years ago.  I worked across the state line in Wisconsin for about 6 months.  I did make several trips to the Chicago waterfront and touristy areas. Of course that was back before teenagers were a protected species and actually got their asses BEAT for misbehaving and way before they engaged in domestic terrorism. I had no freak'n idea that was gonna one day be the "good 'ol days".....
  24. I love shooting, but pistols are my favorite.  I have a Glock 34 I like really well and plenty of 17 round mags and just bought a CZ 75 B in 40 S&W with 12 round mags.  I don't have a holster for either yet, but will soon fix that.  I'm really partial to the blackhawks, but like other brands as well.  I'll be checking those out this week. Are paddle holsters legal or do they have to be on a belt?  I've got plenty of ammo and pistols...just got to fine tune and jump in.  LOL
  25. what all of this means is tha OBL and his followers are winning. They have negatively changed America forever just like they wanted.
