I never buy anything of value without thoroughly reading all of the customer reviews I can find. They are much more reliable in my book than paid reviews. I do realize there are reviews that could be made by someone with an agenda, but I've found these are not that common so I just go with the high percentage. I also write reviews and I'm truthful in my reviews. If these Doctors and businesses large and small would treat people with respect and value them as the most important part of their business as they should, they wouldn't have to stress out over what people are saying. They really should embrace customer reviews as the best advertising they can get and it's absolutely FREE. If negative feedback is hurting these Doctors or any business, then I'd suggest they take a look in the mirror, or study the doctors or stores that have good reviews and figure out what their problem is and make changes rather than whine over the negative reviews.

by Steven D. Levitt, Professor of Economics, University of Chicago [Editor's note: A version of this piece was published in the Chicago Sun-Times on July 28, 2001 under the title "Pools more dangerous than guns." ] What’s more dangerous: a swimming pool or a gun? When it comes to children, there is no comparison: a swimming pool is 100 times more deadly. In 1997 alone (the last year for which data are available), 742 children under the age of 10 drowned in the United States last year alone. Approximately 550 of those drownings — about 75 percent of the total — occurred in residential swimming pools. According to the most recent statistics, there are about six million residential pools, meaning that one young child drowns annually for every 11,000 pools. About 175 children under the age of 10 died in 1998 as a result of guns. About two-thirds of those deaths were homicides. There are an estimated 200 million guns in the United States. Doing the math, there is roughly one child killed by guns for every one million guns. An old article I know, and from the University of Chicago to boot. It really underlines the Liberal obsession with outlawing firearms. Obama says we must protect the children.....right? Where is the legislation outlawing swimming pools?

You don't need a gun to scare the crap outta somebody....LOL

I used to live in a split level and the windows to the den were on the front porch (we never used). I noticed a big dark spot behind the curtains (we never opened) and had to investigate. I pulled the curtain back and was looking eyeball level at a basketball sized hornets nest built right onto the center of the glass of the window. Beat all I'd ever seen. It was a perfect half of a hornets nest, shape and all. You could actually sit and watch the buggers crawling into and out of the opening in the bottom. You could also see them crawling all around in the tunnels of the nest. I watched them for a week or so, then got nervous that someone might walk up on the front porch to the door that was only about 8 feet away from the nest. I bought a couple of cans of hornet spray, waiting until about 11pm on a Friday night and sprayed the crap out of it with a complete can and went to bed. Next day there was a pile of hornets about 6" deep. I sprayed it with a water hose until it fell to pieces and cleaned the window. I would have thought I got them all, but every now an then for several days, we'd see a few circling the area where the nest was. Never saw them again though. Edited to say I took a bunch of pictures of the thing and I'll try to find some and post them. Pretty interesting really....

Our status seems to be changing from "Citizen" to "Subject" at an alarming rate. -
The strange thing is, by hammering David about a negative post, this just supports the bad report. I think an honest company that cares about its customers and reputation would try to make things right rather than whine to the site owner and make threats. I'm sure it gets frustrating to have to listen to it though.

I learned a long time ago, if you listen to the weatherman, you'll miss a LOT of fun outdoors. If I have a fishing day planned, or a motorcycle ride etc.....IF it ain't raining when it's time to leave, I go. I can always come back home. Many times I have a great day and never get wet.

A Chattanooga area radio talk show host today said that the entire Benghazi fiasco is all about the GOP trying to knock Hilliary Clinton out of the running for a 2016 win and absolutely nothing else. Same old DRIVEL from the left. No mention of the US citizens that died that night while Obama slept warm in his bed and his administration lead a stand down as far as rescue was concerned. Has anyone been arrested? Has ANYTHING been done in response? No. Not a damn thing. Then this DWEEB started talking about why wasn't there an investigation on Bush sitting on terrorist information weeks before 9-11. Even IF the Bush comment is true.....2 wrongs don't make a right and it does NOTHING towards excusing the events of Benghazi that night. The liberal extremist are destroying this country with their lies and deception as well as their pampering and protecting everything BHO does..

I just don't like anyone to know that I'm carrying. I feel like I'm telling all the BG's "Here I am...shoot me first!!" That's just my opinion on the subject. I do often carry open in my garage or in my home. I'm too broke down to fight and can't run and open is much more comfortable around the house.

The "Final Solution" to the "Patriot Question."
Randall53 replied to MattCary's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Sadly, that IS the mindset of the liberal extremists. The don't want freedom. The want a strict totalitarian state. They don't want to do for themselves nor think for themselves for fear of failure. -
I agree about the stupid limited mag crap. The thing is, it only takes a second to change mags. Even in this scenario, he should have more than one mag ready by the firearm, drop the partial mag and reload as soon as the first POS hits the floor. now he has one in the chamber and a full mag loaded and ready to go. He's ready for the second POS. In my home, I have the hi cap mags and even then have 2 of them on hand.....in case of a swarm of POS's......

Semi auto's will have less recoil than a pump, O/U, double barrel or any other shotgun. 20 ga is fine, even for home defense. I have an 870 tactical rigged that holds 7+1 3/0 buck shot for the wife. stays by the bed on her side. She's good with it too. 3/0 buck is 17 rounds of 25 caliber shot. That can do some damage at across the room ranges.

But what if he votes the right way on gun control?
-
Will chase you to the four corners.....
-
I don't know...seems to me a good solid platform with attached fold-up legs that you could just run your electric chair under would be better than something that is supported from the side like that. A platform supported by 4 corners is going to be much more solid that what I see in your picture and much lighter also...probably a one trip item rather than multiple trips. Not to mention easy setup. It could also be made wide enough to place your rifle in the center (stability) and allow room on both sides of your rifle for other items (I"m thinking a small bag with a small spotting scope, gloves, tool bag ect...as well as ammo)

Here is what I just sent: "I sincerely hope you had an enjoyable time today playing golf with the President. Even more so, I hope he did not succeed in swaying your vote for more gun control to his side of the aisle. Americans are watching their leaders with an eagles eye these days Mr. Corker. We are doing so because our needs go way beyond Conservative leadership. Our needs are for STRONG Conservative leaders that will stand up to this White House administration intent on compromising our rights for their cause. We need strong leaders that will wage war against the criminals and for more CRIME control, Mr. Corker, not wage a war against legal citizens for gun control. I am an avid sport shooter and so is my wife Mr Corker. We are not fools and would truly hate to see a first step taken to limit our firearms no matter how small that step is. We believe in the 2nd Amendment Mr. Corker. Not for sport shooting only, but in its original intent of protecting all the rest of our rights. No one knows the future Mr. Corker. There may be a future day when our kids will face a tyrannical government and need the right and means to fight against it. If these rights are compromised now, they will not have a chance. Further, I'm sure you know you will lose the support of hundreds of thousands of Tennessee voters by voting for any more gun control bills in this push by the liberals as they fight law abiding citizens rather than criminals. This is a sign of an administration that wants control, not freedom. My wife and I are just two of hundreds of thousands of legal gun owners in this state that vote. Do the right thing and protect our 2nd amendment rights from the liberal charge against us." Will it do any good? I don't know, but it's better than doing nothing...right?

That is good news. Thanks to you both. I have 2 lbs of unique and 4 of PP and right now the PP is the easiest for me to find locally, with it being hit or miss on any given day. I located a $6 paperback Lyman reloading book just for 380, 38sp, 9mm, 40S&W, and 45ACP. THAT'S 5 out of the 6 calibers I plan on reloading. I should have my Dillon set up tomorrow night. I've got 500 9mm bullets and plenty of brass, so I guess I'll start there. Thanks again!
