I really like that holster.

Maybe a sign that said: "Concealed Carry with Valid HCP is OK. However, Keep it in the holster unless needed for EMERGENCY." Would work better?

How many here change their transmission fluid ?
Randall53 replied to tercel89's topic in General Chat
I change ALL my fluids. Car, Truck, Motorcycle, Lawn Mower, Boat Motor.....I work in maintenance and I've seen what neglect does to anything that uses lubrication. -
Well, in my world, a person that goes and buys ammo at regular prices online or camps at a Walmart with 6 or 7 of his family and friends so he can get by a purchasing limit so they can snatch up every box of ammo they have and sell it at 3 times the price is a common thief in my book, not an asset to society. Obviously some of you don't agree and that's fine, but that's the way I see it. It's wrong on more levels than one. Just because some people are foolish enough to pay don't make it right. They are also making money in cash and not paying taxes on it. That's the same as the people that just decides to not pay their income taxes while everyone else does. Anyway, I'm done......I'm pretty much set on everything I shoot and I didn't pay ridiculous prices for it either, but it did take patience and some luck. I will be glad though when things get back to normal IF it ever does. Of course I'm sure "normal" is gonna change too. Just like it did 4 years ago.

Yep...you took the words right out of my mouth. I know someone that rear ended on a motorcycle about a year ago while sitting at a red light. The DH told the cop he didn't see the motorcycle.....the cop said "Yeah?...well what's your excuse for the red light? Were you texting?" The guy wouldn't say anything else.

Federal Gas Tax Hike from $0.184 to $1.40 per gallon?
Randall53 replied to JohnC's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I'm sure the IMF will also claim the role of Collector of America Travelers Tax Monies, as well as Re-distributor of same. -
I see a big difference in free market and what's going on with ammo IMO. It's pure greed and giving everyone that enjoys the shooting sports the finger. It's the fact that the AH scalpers are buying up the ammo at normal prices from normal retailers by circumventing the rules and limits established by retailers trying to supply the general public and being fair with the supply. They're selfishly jerking it right out of circulation before normal buyers can buy at normal prices which sustains the shortage for their benefit. Then they mark it up 200% yet they don't pay taxes on the 200% profit which is further crapping on everyone including the honest taxpayer and the normal shooters that buy ammo. I don't buy from the scalpers. They can KMA. I've been lucky I guess and have procured enough online and just lucked up on what I've needed and am pretty good now. The last I bought was from Palmetto State Armory where I bought 40S&W for $26 a box of 50 which included shipping. Personally I'd love to see them start getting notices from the IRS on the tax issue. They don't give a damn about us....why should we give a damn about them?

The depth of treachery in our government is slowly being revealed.....From protecting the New Black Panthers, to the IRS being in Obama's back pocket....where is this crap gonna end? http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/05/14/Progressive-Group-Says-IRS-Gave-Them-Confidential-Docs-On-Conservative-Groups

Federal Gas Tax Hike from $0.184 to $1.40 per gallon?

France? Their favorite position at the first sign of trouble is the FETAL position....... French Military History in a Nutshell Gallic Wars: Lost. In a war whose ending foreshadows the next 2000 years of French history, France is conquered by of all things, an Italian. Hundred Years War: Mostly lost, saved at last by a female schizophrenic who inadvertently creates The First Rule of French Warfare - "France's armies are victorious only when not led by a Frenchmen." Italian Wars: Lost. France becomes the first and only country ever to lose two wars when fighting Italians. Wars of Religion: France goes 0-5-4 against the Huguenots. Thirty Years' War: France is technically not a participant, but manages to get invaded anyway. Claims a tie on the basis that eventually the other participants started ignoring her. War of Devolution: Tied; Frenchmen take to wearing red flowerpots as chapeaux. The Dutch War: Tied. War of the Augsburg League/King William's War/French and Indian War: Lost, but claimed as a tie. Deluded Frogophiles the world over label the period as the height of French Military Power. War of the Spanish Succession: Lost. The War also gave the French their first taste of a Marlborough, which they have loved ever since. American Revolution: In a move that will become quite familiar to future Americans, France claims a win even though the English colonists saw far more action. This is later known as "de Gaulle Syndrome", and leads to the Second Rule of French Warfare: "France only wins when America does most of the fighting". French Revolution: Won, primarily due to the fact that the opponent was also French. The Napoleonic Wars: Lost. Temporary victories (remember the First Rule!) due to leadership of a Corsican, who ended up being no match for a British footwear designer. The Franco-Prussian War: Lost. Germany first plays the role of drunk Frat boy to France's ugly girl home alone on a Saturday night. WWI: Tied and on the way to losing, France is saved by the United States. Thousands of French women find out what it's like not only to sleep with a winner, but one who doesn't call her "Fraulein." Sadly, widespread use of condoms by American forces forestalls any improvement in the French bloodline. WWII: Lost. Conquered French liberated by the United States and Britain just as they finish learning the Horst Wessel Song. War in Indochina: Lost. French forces plead sickness, take to bed with Dien Bien Flu. Algerian Rebellion: Lost. Loss marks the first defeat of a Western army by a Non-Turkic Muslim force since the Crusades, and produces the First Rule of Muslim Warfare -"We can always beat the French." This rule is identical to the First Rules of the Italians, Russians, Germans, English, Dutch, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Eskimos. War on Terrorism: France, keeping in mind its recent history, surrenders to Germans and Muslims just to be safe. -

Why Benghazi May Finally Have Legs
Randall53 replied to MacGyver's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Obama would just find a way to blame it on Bush...LOL Seriously, I agree. The only hope this country has is conservatives to take control of the house. The other way around and it's lights out America. -

Just about every liberal in Washington lies every time they open their mouths......but the entitlement crowd can't see past their EBT card held at arms length. -

I agree with you that there is a right way and wrong way to handle these issues and arguing with a cashier ain't on the list. But, I don't see anything in BigK's post that says he argued with the girl. He simply said "I know it's not the cashier's idea, so I asked for a manager." Which to me is the correct way to address the issue. I'd say the issue with the manager was par for the course, with the exception of him actually getting the kit without showing his ID. I will add that having to show HCP and DL for a bluing kit is ridiculous. I'd walk first.

Today (5/10) at noon CST, Freedom Munitions is putting up...
Randall53 replied to jdw174's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
They're really selling the ammo, even at these prices. They had over 400 boxes of 500 round 40S&W just yesterday. It was gone this morning. -
I've written short emails asking for support of the RTKABA's and I've written long emails with details with facts, reasons, and demands they honor their oath of office, or they will lose my vote. I get the same canned response no matter what. I'm sure it's impossible for them to answer or read their correspondence. I've read that correspondence is commonly read by staff members who simply keep score as to the subject matter, or bill contained in the email like a score card for pro-gun and anti-gun. So, I'm thinking maybe a very short canned email of our own asking for support of our 2nd amendment rights that could easily be sent every day for a week or two would be better than a long heartfelt one sent one time only would be much better and many more positive votes.

Self discipline. If the people feeding the frenzy on GB and AL and similar sites by buying at ridicules prices would develop some self discipline in their lives, the resellers thriving on them and laughing their asses off would disappear and there would be no lines at Walmart or anywhere else and a whole lot more ammo on their shelves at normal prices. The buyers of jacked up priced ammo are the ones that could change things for the good of everyone.
