  1. If everyone in positions of authority would take a little time to learn the rights of the people, cherish these rights as their own (which they are) and abide by them in their duties, then there would be no need for so called "Jerks" (no matter what their age) to video tape rights violations....that IS the bottom line.
  2. Sounds like a neighbor with a nose too big for his face. I have a few in my neighborhood too. I usually step out on the porch when they knock on my door and close it behind me. When they start the BS small talk, I tell them I'm busy what is it they need. Funny, I don't get near the visitations and BS requests I used to and that's the way I like it. Out of 30 or so neighbors, I have 3 that I regularly talk to. One is a shooter and we always go to the gun shows together. The rest can KORA.
  3. AMEN BROTHER...! Samual Adams once said "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom—go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!" Subversion is a powerful tool to bring the masses under submission.
  4. Raoul....love your sig line dude.....and I agree completely..!!!!!!
  5. In some countries, being a soccer fan appears to be more violent sport than soccer is.
  6. Welcome to TGO Iron Man.
  7. and I'd like to thank everyone here that makes this forum the best one I've ever had the privilege to join.  Many forums have come and gone for me, usually in a very short time.  But, after 1 1/2 years, I still enjoy the heck outta this place and visit practically every day.  I haven't met many of you in person, about 6 or 7, but everyone I've met has been really good people and a joy to meet. I've learned a lot on here about a lot of things and was even inspired to get back into reloading by reading the information ya'll have posted.  I've found some really good deals and websites that have saved me money too. David and the Moderators have a lot of class and seem to keep things in line, but I'm thinking that it's not too hard of a job because of all the class we have as members too.   Anyway, ya'll carry-on.  This  is for TGO, a fine group of like minded people willing to help and share..!!
  8. ..............Hope I've got enough popcorn. No way is this gonna stay on topic.

  13. You can learn a lot from reading anything and everything you can find online, in magazines (outdoor life, field and stream, etc...) and books to get you on the playing field. Things don't always turn out like they do in the articles but it's a start. But then, there's nothing like getting out and getting woods experience.  I used to love to hunt and couldn't wait for Fall.  I've know people that walk out into the woods and kill a nice big buck on their first or second hunt.  Then spend the next 4 or 5 years trying to duplicate it. It can be a real challenge.  Good news is, there are much more game now days than 20 or 30 years ago.   I'm not trying to be negative really, just telling you where the hunting sport has gone. Your first problem is gonna be a place to hunt if you're not hooked up with a hunting group lease already.  Now everything is all about leasing hunting land.  I quit hunting about 20 years ago or so as public land disappeared.  Back in the day you could just ask people that owned land or farms if you could hunt and usually they'd say sure. It was always nice to give them some meat for the privilege back then.  Now, they all lease land to groups of hunters who post the land for their own use and this can get expensive, but it just depends. Outside of leases there are Wildlife Management areas you can pay for but these places are usually packed on hunting day unless it's a quota hunt, then you apply and must get drawn for hunts with quotas. I used to love hunting and hunted deer, quail, grouse, rabbit and squirrels.   I'll tell ya what.  I have some books on deer hunting I've had for quite a while. Most are like new.  I got them from the North American Hunting Club when I was a member.  They have a LOT of info in them and if you want them, send me your name and address and I'll send them to you if you'll pay the shipping.  I can send them in a USPS flat rate box pretty cheap.
  14.   A Harley Biker is riding by the zoo in Washington,DC when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.  The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.  Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has watched the whole event.  The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.'  The Harley rider replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.'  The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow'spaper will have this story on the front page... So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?'  The biker replies, I'm a U.S. Marine and a Republican. The journalist leaves. The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page: U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH ...and THAT pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days...
  15. I bought the book....and I'm GLAD I DID....! Well, I PAID for the book anyway....LOL. I've followed the entire trial on the website his blog is on too. Pretty good stuff if you ask me. Better than the crap spewed from CNN..MSNBC...etc....
  16. It seems to me most Republicans are about where the Democrats were 30 to 40 years ago and the Liberals have fallen off the left side of the scale.

  20.   That does apply to your home, but not your vehicle.   http://www.policemag.com/channel/patrol/articles/2013/05/dogs-drugs-and-the-fourth-amendment.aspx     At the end of this article is the following:   K-9 Summary The Supreme Court has decided five K-9 cases, with the following operable rules: A non-trespassory dog sniff is not itself a search. (U.S. v. Place) Vehicles may not be stopped at a highway checkpoint just to allow a K-9 sniff for drugs. (Indianapolis v. Edmond) At a lawful traffic stop, a K-9 can be walked around the vehicle to check for drugs. (Illinois v. Caballes) An alert from a reliable K-9 is PC to search a lawfully stopped vehicle for drugs. (Florida v. Harris) Bringing a K-9 onto the residential curtilage to sniff for drugs is a search, requiring either a warrant or some exception. (Florida v. Jardines)
