Here's how I feel about Self Defense.  It  means I don't have to RUN (which I am unable to do due to injuries and age)  if approached by a thug and HOPE for SURVIVAL from the situation in a completely DEFENSELESS position.  I have a right to exist HASSLE FREE wherever I am legally entitled to be. It reiterates my GOD given right to defend my life and the life of those I LOVE in a dire situation imposed on me by a THUG with the intent to do bodily harm to me or someone I love.   If YOU want to grab your ANKLES, that's fine with me, just don't WHINE after you bow down to the thug and endure HIS delightful SINS upon your person or upon someone you love.   REMEMBER.....WHEN SECONDS COUNT, HELP IS ONLY MINUTES AWAY......

I always tell them if that's the way they feel DON'T EVER call me if you're being attacked in your home or in the neighborhood and especially when the SHTF.  I had to add that this is exactly why I would be very reluctant to interfere in a situation of violence concerning strangers. They can turn on you in a heartbeat. because of this, my firearms are for the protection of me, my family and very close friends that don't question my sanity.  EVERYBODY else can KORA..!!!

Parts of the city do, but not so much in th e surrounding towns. Nash ille islarver than chattanooga and has a much larger population. Nashville has its share of crime as does all cities.. much nice and larger airport though.

I can't imagine someone not coming to Chattanooga. of course I do love to bass and crappie fish, so with Lake Chickamauga being #6 bass lake in the nation right now and crappie in the 2 to 3 lb range plentiful, I'm sure you can understand my thinking?

I believe in a true collapse, Marsal Law will be instituted and the HLS will confiscate everything, with any resistence being met with deadly force. The streets of the USA will look the Bosnian War of the early 90's. Not something to look forward too.

  The bad thing is, during the Great Depression of the 30's so many things were different and many more people were better set up to survive. Except those that lived in the cities, most people had gardens, knew how to can and preserve food and could hunt. It was a way of life back then They had no electricity and most didn't have cars....AND there were a LOT LESS people. Barter was a way of life for a lot of them. I remember talking to my Parents, who were children of 12 or so but old enough to remember it, and my grandparents.  There was no money or jobs in many areas, but a lot of people had very little money if any back then anyway so it wasn't the disaster to them as it would be today. Look at pictures of people back in the 20's and 30's. There are practically no fat people.  Everyone as thin as beanpoles was the norm. They weren't starving, just worked in the fields and gardens to put up food for the families that were much larger back then. 4 children in a family was nothing and many had 10 or 12 kids. But most all survived.  Today, lack of air conditioning alone would kill hundreds of thousands and they didn't even have air conditioning back in the day. Something on the scale of the Great Depression with NO government help would be a disaster of epic proportions in our world. And it could happen any day now.

The police all over are becoming more militarized and de-sensitized as our Constitution and the rights it defends is vaporized in the name of "peace and safety".
