I bought the  Humminbird 597ci HD DI Combo  So....I guess I better be buying me another freezer to put all the crappie in over the winter. :hat:   Seriously though....has anyone got one of these?  if'n so, how do you like it?  Or any Down Imaging for that matter.....

I sure do.  On occasion I have to work 12 hour night shifts. I have a really hard time sleeping in the daytime.  I found a cd one time with outdoor sounds and one was called Thunderstorm.  That was exactly what it was.  A thunderstorm off in the distance with LONG rolling thunder and rain.  The rain was soft but got harder as the storm got closer, then was steady for about 15 minutes then slowly faded.  The cd had several kinds of outdoor sounds, but I simply cut a cd with just the storm.  I'd put that thing in and hit replay......I'd sleep like a baby all day long.  It did drown out other sounds, but the rain storm?  Oh yeah baby.......I was in ZZZZ land in no time.   Funny thing was, I decided to try the Babbling Brook sound....I did real good for about 4 or 5 minutes. About the time I was asleep, a freak'n woodhen screeched into the recording and I came straight up outta bed.  I went back to the thunderstorm and didn't look back.

I guess what puzzles me is why people are still paying such inflated prices on gunbroker etc.....  Even though prices aren't what they were last year at this time, it's not $75+ a brick if you just look online.  Cabela's has 22lr right now ,100 rounds of CCI mini mags for 8.99.  Cheap? Not compared to last year, but a lot cheaper than the resellers we are talking about.  With just a little patience and diligence, you can fill your ammo buckets with 22lr.  A friend and I have each bought around 2000 rounds from Cabela's over the past 5 months, and split the shipping each time.  We have averaged under $20 a brick including shipping.

I do see most ammo sellers at gun shows with rolls of the ammo tax stamps on hand, come to think of it.

If I had the money I've paid in premiums and the interest it would have made in an interest bearing account all these years I'd have plenty of money to pay cash like you Caster. Just wasn't smart enough to know that back in the day.

I have a CZ 75 B in 40s&w. I can't explain how sweet that pistol shoots.

   I looked into it and was really wanting to go there, but it seems lead is not that easy to find. Wheel weights are moving to something other than lead I've been told, but then, maybe I've just not found the right place to buy it yet. Also, the equipment to get started is pretty expensive it seems to.  At least to me it was.

I just reviewed that book on Amazon and bought the Kindle version.  Looks like some good reading.  Thanks for the tip.

  :bs:  Nothing about it is ethical the way I see it. Personally I've got plenty of ammo and did not buy any from the gougers. Most are conducting business without paying the proper ammo taxes, nor are they paying income tax of the money they are making.

Well, I'm thinking if we can hammer our reps for the 2nd amendment, we should do the same for defunding Obamacare. Either one will take this country down.

Don't take me the wrong way...If any one of these scandals is true, and I believe that all are,, then Obama should be impeached, and others should go to prison. I just don't have any faith in our leaders any more. They seem to be too content to let the country fall.

Your referring, I'm sure , to impeachment, but trouble and and accusations roll off Obama like water off a ducks back. I mean, how many commities are being thwarted now about 3 scandals? And nothing is happening. Absolutely nothing at all, other than a lot of people claiming the Fifth.

I've owned a couple of Taurus revolvers and liked them fine. I wouldn't have a problem with a 9mm they made at all.
