Guidelines Regarding Law Enforcement Threads on TGO
Randall53 replied to MacGyver's topic in General Chat
I don't know......there are bad apples in every profession. Surely anything said about LE on TGO reflecting the bad apples would not be taken as a negative about the good cops that do their jobs. I'm sure some of them know the ones, or some that act like the ones, being viewed in a negative light. If the shoe don't fit, then why have a problem with it? If it does fit and an LEO sees his or her self in the negative post, then maybe a personal re-evaluation and adjustment is in order. I don't understand how this is a bad thing. I will abide by the rules of the house in any event. -
Changing the thought patterns of our young people is already happening. They are re-writing the books now to fit the dims way of thinking. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/09/18/School-Textbook-Changes-Constitution

It looks like all the bases are covered on getting the darned thing off. I really hate that crap though. It's hard to find anyone who hasn't had a overtightened or un-lubed stuck filter. I've never had one but I've heard people say that their drain plug was stripped out by an oil change place. There really is no excuse. Changing the oil in a car of truck is about the simplest job one can do and it's sometimes hard to imagine how it gets screwed up at theses places.

Rallying cry of a dictator: "Give up your rights for the good of society." Obama goes a step further: "Give up your rights for the good of the children."

Maybe.....I'd be more worried it would trace back to 4 or 5 gang killings....

I've got a couple I'd trade in. An old RG 22lr with real ivory looking plastic grips for instance. With a little WD-40 I'm SURE the cylinder would free right up. I mean hell, can't find ammo for it anyway. <grin>

"Stand down" <-- This sounds familiar

The MSM of the USA is to busy giving Obama's butt a spit shine than reporting the truth. -

Seems to me that after Obama's "Bow Down and Apologize" world tour, that's been the SOP........just tell me to stop when I start lying.... -
Yep. wife called about 8pm last night and they called this morning and said they would be here around 1pm. to upgrade us. now that is customer service!
-
Just got bumped from 50 to 100 megabaud (is that correct term?) per second for the same price! Is FREAK'N fast! They also dropped the price on 1000 mbs price to something like $70? My better half called them and they said we could upgrade to the 1000 mbs for ten dollars more a month. So, from 50 to 100 was no extra charge, then to 1000 for ten bucks. Suck eggs Comcast!!!!

Welcome to TGO Bradley. I really don't think you'll be disappointed at all with the knowledge on this site.

I really hate to hear this. Especially in todays economy. The days of finding a job with the same pay is hard to do. It's also hard on those that stay. Their work load will increase, you can bet your sweet bippy on that.

what would be great, is to have 3 of then from different posts of the USA and stager them so it would be on all year long.

They want them ALL....!!!

Hunting Record Deer that are not "natural". Agree or disagree?
Randall53 replied to a topic in Hunting and Fishing
It's a bunch of phony people with money participating in a phony activity. It is in no way hunting. -
I'm not so sure it won't work. It did for CSI. Went from Vegas, to Miami and NYC. I'd sure watch them. I hate waiting a week in between TWD episodes!!

I love free brass............................
Randall53 replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I pick it up when I can. I've just gotten back into reloading this year, but I do remember the importance of giving range brass a very good look. I have a very large magnifier for that job. I also measure the OAL compared to measurements I've made of new brass to see how it looks. I know some people will trim brass that runs over the recommended AOL, but I don't use it. If its stretched past the measurement, I throw it out to be safe. That's just me though because my wife shoots my reloads too and I'm not taking chances. -

Should police know the laws they are hired to enforce?
Randall53 replied to gregintenn's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I do understand this and asking them to know all laws is asking way too much. However, they should be up to speed on laws regarding the most common events they will or are apt to encounter on a frequent bases. Concealed carry, open carry, legal weapons and illegal weapons, citizen rights during a stop, or a call for various reasons to a business or home and how to conduct themselves in a cool professional manner at all times. Also, to expect disciplinary action up to and including termination, instead of protection, if they fail in these areas. I just don't think that is too much to ask since this is the norm for all the rest of us that work and have jobs. -
Yep....Fienstien wastes no time. http://o.dailycaller.com/thedailycaller/#!/entry/feinstein-calls-for-new-gun-control-laws-again-after-navy,52378ad8da27f5d9d02102d8/1

Should police know the laws they are hired to enforce?
Randall53 replied to gregintenn's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Should an electrician know the electrical code? Should a plumber know the plumbing codes? Should a real estate agent know the laws concerning real estate? What's wrong with asking LEO's to know basic cival rights and the Bill Of Rights? I mean crap, it's their rights too? I really think the problem is more the ego's of a particular kind of cop, and the failure of the their superiors and peers to confront them about the issue. Every time they get by abusing someone's rights, the more want to do it. Power Trip. Nothing more, nothing less.
