  1. Amazing...your knives and your skill.
  2. I signed....also added this to the question of why am I concerned about this:   Because next thing, you'll be killing peoples pet cats for killing mice and birds in the course of them following their true nature. There is absolutely no difference from that and what you're doing here.
  3.   Yep, I've looked at them quite a bit. Sure wish they were around when I bought the Walther. The mags I have came with it and I think I bought the Walther sometime around 2004 or so. I'd try another mag, but it won't shoot at all now. It won't even dent the cartridge primer after chambering a round by hand. I think something broke last trip to the range.
  4. If the neighborhood is that rough, I'd say he might be taking a knife to a gunfight and that would be a very bad day. Moving would be my option of choice.
  5.   Thanks mikegideon, I have a Buckmark and love it. It will eat a brick of federals at one sitting and still be shooting. I've done it several times back when I first got it and a brick was 8 bucks at walmart and it will do it today. I just liked the looks and feel of the P22 when I bought it. Sure wish I hadn't now though.  I think I'll contact S&W again. They should have the record of the last fix attempt and forget about Walther. If that don't work out, I'll try a new mag if I can find one, then give Rbert and ugly's fix a try.   Thanks for the replies.
  6. I agree that the bible has great info and pictures, but my hands and fingers don't work as good as they used to, and many of the mods the guy did I just wouldn't want to try nor do I have the tools. I know one thing. You could lay 500 good ones on a table with 1 bad one and I'll pick up the bad one 7 out of 10 times..!!!!!
  7. I knew someone years ago that had a pellet stove in a mobile home. It worked great, but I've never had one personally.
  8.   I meant to put that info in. I've tried both of the mags that came with it and it didn't make any difference. I don't know anyone else personally that has one to try, but now it won't fire at all even if I hand load a cartridge.
  9. Sure beats O'Charlies. We live very close to one and we went 3 times to it. We quit going because we usually always find a utensil or plate that has food residue on it.
  10.   YEP....Buds is "The Bomb" as the kids say today...
  11. I have a Walther P22 I bought several years ago. It has never shot a single magazine without stove piping, failing to eject, failing to chamber.  Most times, I'll see all three while trying to fire 1 magazine of any brand of 22LR.  I've tried CCI, Remington, Federal, etc...with no improvement. After buying this pistol and seeing these problems, I contacted S-W and they paid for me to ship it back to them. They returned it to me and I went to the range. No improvement at all. I was totally PO'd and threw it in my safe.  I forgot about the POS. While performing my 6 month ritual of cleaning all my guns I found DGFH at the bottom of a box. I thought I'd give it another try. I figured I'd take some sacred 22 ammo and shoot it a couple of hundred times to see if it would begin working. NADA....my plan wasn't working and I saw all of the above mentioned failures repeatedly. Then on the magazine 5, it just quit firing at all. I tried several times, but saw no indentation at all on the cartridge. I called Walther the other day, told them about the guns history and said I would like it fixed, my money back, or a new pistol. I also told them about the return a few years ago, about my frustration and all that. The guy asked a few questions, said I must have sent it back to S-W because they had no record of it. I replied that was probably correct. He said he'd send me a RA and for me to send it to them and they'd see what's wrong and call me back. Well, they are wanting me to pay for the return which would cost me 25% of the guns value on a pistol that is a POS. I know I have some fault in this since I should have pursued this when it came back in the same condition, but I'm about to tell Walther to BMAss anyway. Has anyone on here had these issues and had the pistol replaced or repaired properly? I have a copy of the P22 "Bible" but it's a pretty complicated book IMO. Anyone have any suggestions or help? It would be much appreciated.
  12. After shooting, I field strip and spray mine down with CRC/Non-chlorinated brake cleaner, blow it out with an air hose, on low, then spray down with Eezox® Gun Care spray and let it sit for about 15 minutes, wipe it down good and put it back together. Works for me and don't take long at all.
  13.   I was just going to ask where the Big Box Grocery Stores will get their wine? Will it be from local distributors, or come in on their trucks from God knows where? If so, then that would also cut into the local distributors pocket book also.
  14. I have a 442 and I really like it. I bought it from Buds and was able to get one without the internal lock. I have no kids and since I have a couple more pistols with no locks I didn't want to start with that one.  It shoots the +P's real well and is pretty accurate at pistol distances. No hammer to snag. I've put maybe 300 rounds through it and have never had any issues.
  15. Similar thing happened to my wife at USXPRESS. 10 years of help desk supervisor and everybody knew who to call when something went wrong. Even Max (Big Shot) called her personally for any problems he had, yet 2 weeks from her 10 year anniversary, they cut 25 peoples jobs. All with almost 10years in. She would have gotten 4 weeks paid vacation and a raise. The place is a real PI$$ Hole as far as how they treat employees.
  16. I found a place that seems to be a good place to obtain a better understanding of what they are and what they will do if passed.   http://ballotpedia.org/Tennessee_2014_ballot_measures
  17. We all do stupid stuff at times so don't feel bad.  I was scuba diving one time in the Cayman Islands and had a $500 dive camera. It was the second day of seven dive days and I had about 200 shots I'd taken. I needed to change batteries for the afternoon dive so I open up the waterproof housing and take out the camera standing right beside the bed of the motel room. The floor was tile and YUP....I dropped the camera and YUP it hit the tile floor. Had I been doing this sitting down on the bed like any intelligent person would do, it would have been a no-never-mind....but NO...not me! The door to the battery compartment went flying and the housing to the camera cracked. I dove the last 5 days and saw all kind of great sea life but only came home with about 200 shots from the first two days.
  18. I read a lot more than I post, but I really enjoy TGO. it's a great site.
  19. I saw one like that one time in my backyard. It was crawling across my shoulder. I ran into a tree and was out cold for about 5 minutes...... :stare:
  20. This is where my .380 Seecamp, which is always the SECOND firearm tucked away on my person, might have made a huge difference. Well, if I did ever OC, which I never do.
  21. That is a beautiful knife. I am amazed at the skill you and the other knife makers on here and other places have to create such a tool. Everything I touch with a grinder or file is pretty much ruined....LOL
  22.   After further review.....yes. it is the old Darrs location.
  23.   I live 2 miles from Anthony's.  let me know if you want me to check for you.
  24. I just saw this headline from back in February. I didn't see anything recent. Any updates have obviously not been good news for the gun hating unconstitutional law makers and therefore squashed by the MSM.  Here's the last thing I found:   http://finance.townhall.com/columnists/michaelschaus/2014/03/04/connecticut-gun-owners-come-and-get-them-n1803704/page/full   Good article from March.....Anybody else heard anything?
