  1. You and me both!!!
  2. Fart police ain't far down the list I'm sure and you'll have to pay a fine....er, a TAX says Justice Roberts, every time you cut the cheese.
  3. I think I found it.  Here is the wording:   SECTION 4.  No department of state government shall change, remove or replace signs as a result of Sections 1 or 2 of this act prior to the time the signs are regularly scheduled to be changed, replaced, or removed or are required to be changed, replaced, or removed by any other law or due to destruction or theft; provided, that the general assembly may specifically provide funds for the purpose of removing or replacing signs in a general appropriations act.   Here's a link to it:   http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/109/Amend/HA0157.pdf
  4.   If you do a search, even here on TGO, I believe you will find that the signs are not required to come down and that there removal was not part of the bill and helped the bills passage I believe in the finance part of the review. They still apply to everyone without an HCP. I could be wrong and I have read that they are being removed in some locations, but I believe that they don't have to be removed.
  5.   I've done a little research on the SCOTUS reversing decisions. Apparently it's pretty hard but it can and has been done. Something like the Liberals drooling desire for gun control and confiscation and their complete lack of scruples and "anything for the cause" attitude makes me think if they ever get the majority they will do whatever it takes to reverse 2nd amendment decisions. Here's an article I found that gives some examples.   http://money.howstuffworks.com/10-overturned-supreme-court-cases.htm   I suppose time will tell. We have some very old justices in place. A Conservative majority will not last forever.
  6.   I think that's it. The Liberals are loud about everything they want to push down the throat of society. They don't want us to think for ourselves but rather to listen to them, follow them and agree with them. If you don't you're attacked in the hopes they can discredit you or shut you up. So many people today are far to busy to think for themselves about where these policies of anti freedom will take them. They are just persuaded by what they hear and again, that takes us back to the Liberals being so loud about everything they want and they are very willing to lie and use anything, even horrible things like the Charleston deaths to attain their goals. Their lies are seldom rebuked by any of the leaders of the Conservative party and when they are they are quieted by the shouting of the Left.
  7. This article has some good information and ammo against an anti gunner anyone could use. Not all of it new of course but it is well organized and educational just the same. Martin O'Malley spouts off and brags about his gun restricting laws passed under his watch in Maryland. William Sullivan gives a great response to all liberal control freaks.   http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2015/06/evaluating_the_lefts_madness_on_gun_control.html
  8. I have a 1 x 4 board with 1/4" holes drilled in it about every 1" or so edgewise. I buy golf tees and spray paint the very ends where the balls go with florescent paint, usually orange. using my 22 CZ, I try to shoot the painted end off of them. It's a pretty fun evening with a good rifle like the CZ American or the 452. I use both and they are tack drivers for sure.
  9. I'm getting back into deer hunting after giving it up about 20 years ago. After researching a lot, I ended up with a Remington 783. I couldn't decide on which caliber, so I went into several stores that sold ammo and checked which caliber seemed to be more available. It boiled down to the most readily available, 30-06, and second most available, 270. After seeing how close the 2 calibers were in performance, I bought the 30-06. The 783 was very accurate right out of the box. I got it at Academy for $279. I'm real pleased with it.
  10. Prayers to all the families and prayers for the world in this day and time in which we live.   I'll never understand why the name and life history of any shooter is made famous by the media. They should all die in obscurity with with the public not ever knowing who they were.
  11. I've been looking at them and there's a ton of them out there. What are you using?
  12. a 2 lb bass I caught was sweating like a pig when I got him in the boat. I tried to turn him loose but he kept jumping back in the boat until I finally rode him around the lake a couple of times, then he jumped back in on is own and swam off.
  13. A friend of mine worked at a local Chattanooga Walmart for a few years in the automotive dept. and told me that they have recorded video of the entire shop. It was there to be used against customers claiming work had not been done or workers had damaged their cars. He also said it proved the customers claims more often than not. It would be worth it to ask to see the video of the work on your vehicle if something happens. I'm not sure it it's in all of them, but he worked at the Gunbarrel Rd. Walmart and saw a couple of workers lose their jobs over the recordings.
  14. Hmm....I guess I misunderstood....I did think of buying one one time so I guess I dodged that bullet after all!!
  15.   I just downloaded this. Thanks. That's some good info right there. It will be my instruction manual for sure.   I have a Buckmark that I've shot a couple of thousand rounds through and it still spits 'em out like it was brand new. My son and I shot most of a brick through it more than one time at the range. It was dirty as crap, but was still shooting when we were ready to pack it in. I really love the buckmark, but wanted the Walther because of size and feel. Too bad it turned out to be junk.   PS...thanks for all the replies!! Maybe I'll be able to fix it. I'll never buy another one though. That's for sure.
  16. Right now, jimic here's my plan. I'm gonna take it apart and see if I can fix it. If I can't fix it, or if I can't get it back together (very possible scenario...LOL) then yep. I probably would look at that option.
  17. Kind of a long story, partly rant and partly info gathering post, but here goes..... I'm wondering if anyone else has had one of these miserable little failures that gave problems and was finally fixed by someone. I have one that's an early model that I bought new several years ago that was made by S&W. It was a POS right out of the box. It would fail to chamber or stovepipe firing maybe 2 or  3 times in a row on every single mag. It was cleaned and oiled before first trip to the range, and cleaned/oiled afterwards, but it never has operated properly. It is a cheap little pistol and I think I gave less than $300 for it several years ago, but dang.....it should function as designed, right? I tried several ammo brands, different magazines, other peoples magazines and nothing would work, so I figured I had a dud and sent it back to S&W.  They sent it back to me and bingo, same thing. It was still a POS. Well this was several years ago but I do remember getting PO'd and throwing it back in my safe and forgot about it. I should have pressed the issue back then I know, but sometimes I get frustrated and say POI. I recently found the thing while rummaging through my safe and decided to see if S&W or Walther would fix or replace the dang thing. I mean there are literally hundreds to thousands of posts about the poor quality of this pistol and it being plagued with problems like mine has. It seems you either get a good one and it's great, or you get one like mine and it's a POS.    Well, the bottom line is, Smith said they don't touch them anymore and everything about the P22 is Walther's problems and I would have to contact them. Walther says there never was a recall on the P22 and refuted the fact that the early P22's like mine had problems but I'm thinking they have had hundreds if not thousands of these pistols sent back for repair. They say I'd have to pay to send mine back to them and for any repairs. So, has anyone here has or had one of these leprosy plagued pistols and was able to make it function correctly?  If so, please tell me what you did to fix it. I'm gonna tear it down and fix it or beat it to death with a hammer.   Thanks for any info someone may have.
  18. I have a a Gerber and it's the best one I've ever owned. By far. Mine is the Gerber 5500 MP400.
  19. Waiting for that day and time will seem to drag by, but after that day it hit's high gear!!! LOL
  20. Randall53

    rust!!!

Well, at least there's plenty of .45 ammo available again to replenish the supply!!
  21. I usually go, but not this time. I seem to always spend money at that one. It's usually a pretty good show. Best one in Chattanooga IMO.
  22. Communications from the NRA don't bother me. I don't fret over the calls or the emails. They have to collect money anyway they can. If I feel like contributing, I do. If not, I don't. Emails I simply contribute or delete. If I get a phone call I politely tell them I'm not able to give at the present time. It takes just a few seconds of my day.  They do a lot more than just fight for the rights of Americans, they have many programs that all cost money and spread interest in firearms, firearms safety, as well as firearms education to the masses. I shudder to think where we'd be without them.
  23.   I'm sure he has quite a list of "surprises" for us during his last six months in office as he uses his cell phone and pen threat to it's fullest.
  24. They don't care. The left is obsessed with forcing everyone to live like they want everyone to live. It's not just firearms either. It's everything.
