  1.   Yes. they are called L-I-B-E-R-A-L-S!!!!   They love everything that is wrong about America today.
  2. I'd say they were laughing their butts off after they got outside and got clear of the place. They probably have tried this before and if they get stopped, they pay up. If not, they get a free meal.
  3. Personally, I can't imagine putting out an open internet invite to come to my property for any reason, especially in today's world . I've never had a lot of faith in strangers anyway, until they prove to me they are not a threat. I've met some really good people selling things on Craigslist, but some people have died doing the exact same thing. If I have something to sell now, I meet someplace very public now with lots of traffic like a racetrac or similar place, and I go armed to the teeth. I'd rid myself of any activity that results in me having to go outside armed to investigate and calling 911.
  4. Thanks Grunt67. I found a set at a local gun shop this evening. They're Remington brand and they bolted right on and held the scope secure. The screws all tightened up good. I'm going tomorrow to sight it in for deer season this fall.
  5. He couldn't win the big game either....Florida and Aladamnbama....LOL
  6. Yes I could. Thanks Dolomite. I just can't see a reason for one hole being different in this gun. If nobody can confirm, I may take it up there and get them to open one and see. It's a 30-06 and I'd like all the screws to be the proper depth since only 2 screws will have to hold the scope mount and scope. I did order a set of integrated scope mounts for this particular gun just a little bit ago and won't be using the scope base I had. I hope someone has one and can verify the depth's are supposed to be the same or not.
  7. I bought a new Rem 783 a few months ago from Academy Sports for deer hunting this fall. Well, I bought a scope the other day and was attempting to install a scope base set this afternoon. There are 2 pieces to the set. The rear base installed easily. I found one of the 2 screws on the front set wouldn't go all the way down. I removed both pieces and checked the depth of the 4 holes. They appear to be about a 3 or 4mm size hole diameter, but I'm not sure. The depth of 3 of them are identical at about 1/4". The very end hole towards the barrel is not as deep as the others by at least 1/16" and this is the screw that wouldn't seat all the way. If anyone out there has one of these rifles and could check the depth of these holes, or knows that the barrel end hole is supposed to be shallower and would be nice enough to let me know I'd be much appreciative. If it's a problem, I'm taking the rifle back to Academy Sports and getting it replaced....hopefully.   Thanks!!!!
  8.   Obama got votes out of that too, whether the whole thing is bogus or not. I know I've heard a few idiots say that's why they voted for him in 2012. Who knows. It might have been a campaign ploy!!
  9. I don't think anyone has to stage these horrible events. Every single one of these miserable slugs is just like this guy, who admitted he wanted notoriety, as they end their miserable lives. Every single news media outlet is more than happy to oblige them with coverage for days and/or weeks. This immediately sets the stage for another miserable slug to play copy cat and plan his "glorious" exit. Money trumps common sense every time.
  10. It's an AWESOME show!
  11.   Ahhh......Heck with it.
  12.   Yep...Chicago, Detroit, New York, Baltimore.......do a search "people shot in (fill in a city) this weekend"  You will be amazed.  I just did this on the cities I listed and the results are crazy. The problem is not guns, it's morally corrupt people. Of course we all know that. I also just did some snooping around liberal websites and of course they are all screaming about the NRA, guns, everything but the moral decay of our society.
  13. I have one just like it in the safe I've had for many years. I've had many a bowl of squirrel dumplings and fried rabbit thanks to that sweet shooter. I can't even begin to guess how many rounds have been down the barrel, but it shoots just like it did on day one.
  14. Kinda like our CCW, the one you have on you when you need it? Seriously though, I have a few Streamlights that I really like a lot. One each lives on my bedstand, boat, truck and car. Good quality and value IMO.
  15.  I just saw this. Prayers to the families and our country. Both are in dire need.
  16. Again, this amazing site comes through to help someone. I've never been a member of a forum with such a diverse ability to help it's members. This is truly a very special place.
  17. I'd say this is the plan to attempt to get the law repealed. Complaints or lawsuits filled in response to this will be fodder for those against this from the beginning and will now begin to scream about the financial loss to cities and state.   Edited to add the "attempt". I have no idea if that could happen, but financial costs have stopped gun bills in the past it seems.
  18.   I called S&W a few months ago about mine since they had tried to fix it a few years ago, but didn't. They said they no longer service the Walther P22 and sent me to Walther. Walther refused to take it because I don't know what S&W did to it since there no explanation from them when I got the pistol back. That just seemed like an out for Walther. I'm going to try it myself this winter and if I can't fix it, then I guess I'll try to sell it for parts or take it to one of those gun buy backs that Middle mentioned above. LOL
  19. I've got one that's never shot a full mag without a fail to feed. I tried different mags and it's the same thing. I kept trying it with different ammo re-chambering if it failed to feed and now it won't shoot at all even if it does chamber correctly.. I know it's a cheap pistol, but DAMN. I have the cheapest Buckmark  made that I bought 10 years ago and it eats anything and everything for as long as I want to shoot without a hiccup. I do have my P22 torn down and I have the file Mikegideon referenced. As soon as it' gets too cold to fish or hunt, I'm break'n out the dremmel tool and going though it. I know I can't make it worse. I'll see what happens. Its a S&W made Walther and all I've ever gotten out of either of them is something like "You've probably been shooting hi velocity Stingers thru it and it's not designed for those" BS. Good luck.
  20. “These guns can keep working for up to 70 years. That’s a lot of people they can potentially kill in that time.”     A perfect example of Personification by a gun grabbing liberal dweeb.
  21. Another reason this is another intrusion that is a waste of time. I read where the Colorado shooter bought a ticket and walked into the theater he was going to terrorize and opened the emergency exit and blocked the door slightly open. His vehicle was parked closeby and he geared up and walked back into the theater through the emergency door and started shooting. Why the doors were not alarmed I have no idea, but it's common practice for them not to be apparently. I've been in a few theaters here in Chattanooga through the years and seen people go out these side exits after a movie. This may have changed, but I do remember this clearly. They do only open from the inside but blocking them is obviously not a problem.
  22. thats an amazing knife GT. I always enjoy seeing the knives the folks on here make. Very talented people.  :usa:
  23. How about this....We round up all of the illegal alliens, deport mama, old folks, babies and little ones. Everybody else of working age builds the wall for room and board. Build it from the Mexico side of the wall and The crew that sweeps up walks south and we're done.
  24. Egg layers and fryers are not the same birds. I know some people in both worlds. Chickens and eggs are both fine tuned production systems. The scare must be in the egg production portion is my guess.
