  1. I was reading an article on the American Thinker today and saw a reply by someone that made a lot of sense. To me anyway. They seemed to make some really good points. Here it is:   Think the Bundy Ranch in Nevada on a national scale. A move to confiscate would be disastrous to those on both sides and the populace in general. There's millions of trained folks with combat training and experience in the general population that could lead millions more of civilians with the fortitude and willingness to fight, and give their lives if need be, to ensure the freedom and future of their children. Connecticut thought it would be easy, yet less than 20% of gun owners complied with their confiscation law including 60% of police officers. Here is what Sen. Tony Guglielmo, R-Stafford, the ranking GOP senator on the legislature's public safety committee said, "I honestly thought from my own standpoint that the vast majority would register, If you pass laws that people have no respect for and they don't follow them, then you have a real problem.". The 2nd Amendment was considered by the framers of our Constitution, and even now by most Americans, to be the ultimate amendment placed there for the protection of the entire Constitution. Without it, the Constitution and our freedom could and eventually would be destroyed by a zealous government. Millions of people in this country have always considered that something worthy to fight for by any means and to die for in foreign countries. How much more is this true to fight for on their own soil? Surely most of those within our government realizes this. I surely do hope so. Confiscation of our means of self defense and the defense of our people from tyranny is a true Pandora's Box on a national scale.
  2. I remember the previews for this coming episode on the Talking Dead showing Rick running his butt off down an empty road no walkers in sight. I suppose towards Alexandria. I'm betting this week will be a good'un!
  3. I've never seen a Gun N Drug store before. I do remember in my early years when hardware stores were family owned and all of them sold guns and knives. I bought my first 22 rifle at a Western Auto back in the 60's. I killed a boatload of squirrels with that rifle. It was a Remington 552 "Speedmaster". Wish I still had it!!!!!!!!
  4.   Yep, could be! I'm wondering about all the crap the others are going through trying to get back "home" with a few thousand walkers rambling around the woods heading towards the same thing they are. The sound of the horn!!! The writers are doing a jam-up job to me and I'm thinking this is going to be a great season! I guess I've gotten over all the minute detail mistakes of TV and movies as a whole. I never really even see them. I try to stay "in the moment" of what I see on the screen and just enjoy it for what it is. Entertainment for the masses. LOL.
  5. I read the article that Oshoot posted and in one of the replies, a person stated that they that statement was referring to her and Carl being able to sneak out of the compound so easily with all of the blindspots available to them. That does make sense. It was only she and Carl in the room.
  6. One major difference in the parties is the Liberals are determined and stick to their guns for the most part, like the the vote yesterday that stonewalled the Sanctuary City defunding bill in the Senate in favor of illegal aliens. They are the minority but due to the way the voting rules are set up, the left stuck together and stopped the bill from going forward with a 54-45 party line vote. The bill required 60 votes to move forward and the 55 member Republican majority couldn't even get that. 99 vote total and I don't know who didn't vote, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway.
  7. In Fear the Walking Dead, it was stated in the hospital in one of the last coupe of episodes that it was infection from a bite that killed you then you turned. They also stated that everyone turned after death.
  8. The decision was announced yesterday. Read this article if you're interested. A federal version of this act has been submitted apparently by Feinstein. I guess the gun grabbers are going to draw a line in the sand.   http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2015/10/court_decision_paves_the_way_for_australianstyle_gun_ban.html
  9. The Hildebeast is disillusion. MANDATORY = CONFISCATION whether you get a pittance of your initial investment back or not.
  10. I Wonder if it was gang related?
  11. I say do it. I don't want to buy anything from that type of person anyway.
  12. check out some of the IDPA stages online. They are great for what you are wanting to do.  There's a lot of websites. Here's one I just found with a simple "IDPA STAGES" search.   http://sdps-idpa.org/2014/docs/2014-CASIDPAC-Final-Match-Stages-3.pdf
  13. If the subject being taught in this history class was Christianity and these kids were told to recite the Lords Prayer, the outrage of the ALCU, parents and the news would be deafening, not to mention the lawsuits!! Even though Christianity predates Islam by more than 600 years.
  14. It might just be me, but I'd not sell or trade until it was fixed regardless of the law.
  15. Beautiful work sir!
  16. Looks like a great trip! I've done quite a bit of fishing on the ocean back in the days of working construction in Florida a lot. I love the fish fries also! Nothing like it. We used to go catch shrimp in castnets with the incoming tide which was always a lot of fun.
  17. Purty.....what is it?
  18.   Yes, but Chance Hall and Jack Jones, even though True Freshmen, stepped up when they had too and played like true veterans today!!  Great job to both of them!!
  19. That reminds me of a guy I used to work with. He had a favorite saying.  "If you believe that, then my ass is an ice cream freezer.....You want a cone?"  LOL.
  20. I use the Rotella synthetic BLUE jug. Gotta watch out for those friction modifiers with a wet clutch and all....No wait. Sorry, I thought I was on the GL1800 website for a minture...LOL!!!    I just couldn't resist. HA!
  21. That's a great looking blade GT. That would be so nice with a horizontal sheath!
  22. Peejman nailed it. A lot happens, but redundant systems are in place for everything and it's all automatic, but everything can be done manually if needed.
  23. I don't know a thing about Alex Jones, but I did work in power production. The grid is a highly synchronized power source and it takes vast amounts of electronics and computers to keep it humming along. Everything in power production revolves around huge power transformers and power generators. Everything else in a powerhouse or substation are made to protect them. These items are very fickle and susceptible to catastrophic failure. They are not an on the shelf item. They are made to order with a 2 year turn around time to be built and another 6 to 9 months to be installed. Even in the simplest terms, it takes electricity to build them. It takes fuel for trucks to transport them and for cranes to install them. A grid failure would take all of this away and take years to repair if these shortcoming could be overcome. I realize this scenario is downplayed by many and there have been some improvements, but as a whole, the gird overloaded and very neglected. I'm sure they have their reasons for denying this though.
  24.   Yes it is. My true belief is that there would be no return. So many would die that the ability to rebuild would be gone. No electricity, no fuel, no food, no water and 300 million people?
  25. I'm sure this won't be popular, but I truly think the our downfall will be severe damage and complete loss of the grid. If our nation is a body, the grid is the brain. Kill the brain and the body will die. My past career dealt with various parts of power generation and I can tell you we are very vulnerable and nobody in Washington cares. If it happens it's not going to be a short term event. It will depend on the extent of damage, but with a well planned attack or an EMP by a rouge nation, it will be for years if not permanent. It will be devastating and I really don't think any of us are prepared for that. For the most part, we have become a fat, lazy nation. Most of you know as well as I do that death and disease would take over every city and town. Some might can survive, but it will be like living the the 1700's again if this happens. Most won't be able to do it.
