  1. What this shows me is the power the Community Organizers / Progressive Liberals have on our college campuses today.    Check out this article on Community Organizing Obama Style:   http://www.nationalreview.com/article/225564/what-did-obama-do-community-organizer-byron-york
  2. I made 2  drive on ramps with a couple of 2x10x8's.  I cut each into 4 pieces. 28.5,  25.5,  22.5,  and 19 inches long. line up the back straight on each board and used drywall screws to attach each piece. They work great and do not slip at all. gives you about 7" rise.
  3.   I'm with you Bersaguy. I don't go into malls either and really haven't in a long time. I have had to go to a hospital a couple of times and couldn't help it, but I avoid all gun free zones as much as possible.
  4. LOL....yep. What amazing comfort and calm I feel when behind those "NO GUNS" signs..... :squint:
  5. Dang...It appears that the you had it "dialed in" for such a long distance on that last round!!!
  6. Been doing that for a long time. Too long I believe because it ain't working. I think their too damn stupid. A person recently said: "I get tired of trying to help people. I think the word "need" just causes trouble." I answered with:  "Only when you put the word "YOU" in front of it..!!!" They said...."HUH?"  I said..."Never mind."
  7. My problem ain't the neighbors I'm afraid. It's certain family members on the wife's side. I'm close to kick'n ass and take'n names. Why some people want to act like assholes all the time is beyond be.
  8. I really like the .40. I have a Glock 27 and love it. It's a really great shooting gun. I almost always buy my ammo from Academy and the 40 cal is only $1 more than the 9mm for the monarch brass 50 round box.
  9. I sure wish certain people in my life would move the hell away because I can't afford too!!  Anyone ever feel that way? Or is it just me?
  10. I won't be going early either. With my leg and back issues, I'm waiting until I can see to unload my 4 wheeler. That's why I'll be hunting through the week instead of weekends. The people on my lease don't hunt the middle of the week and that way I won't be interfering with their hunting by coming in late. Most deer I've got was between 9am and 1pm anyway.
  11. If I set up to hunt the clear cuts or roads my new Remington 783 30-06 with it's new 3-9 Bushnell scope. I got it zeroed 1" high at 100 yards. It really shoots great, or has so far. If I decide to hunt the really thick stuff like I enjoy doing, I'll be using my Marlin 44 magnum with open sights.
  12. I posted another on the General Forum about a blog on TGO that discussed Faraday Cages. In looking at this subject for the past few hours I stumbled onto this website that has a LOT of info on prepardness against EMP and other emergency situations. I though it would be good to share it here. Give a look-see.....you may find it as interesting as I have. I'm still reading it.     http://www.futurescience.com/emp/emp-protection.html
  13. That's interesting. It could have been the body of the car in relation to the position of the electronics that shielded the ones that didn't fail. I haven't seen that show.
  14. That's a great move on your part, xRUSTYx. I wish I'd have done that myself. I have done some reading on Faraday Cages. It seems that for small electronic items even a small garbage can, metal ammo can etc....can protect them. I'm thinking about having an aluminum box made that will fit over my electronic lock on my Cannon in some way and be easily installed/removed.
  15. I'd really forgotten about the blog section of our site and decided to check it out again. I saw a really good blog about EMP attacks and electronic locks on gun safes. I don't know why but Strangeevy seems to have joined in Jan of this year, posted the blog and hasn't been back for whatever reason. I left a thank you comment in case they do come back. This blog got my attention because I do have an electronic lock on my Cannon safe. I've been researching the subject matter of Strangeevy's blog and it may do us all well to do the same. I'd suggest anyone with a safe that has an electronic lock, or want's to think about ways to protect your electronics in case of an EMP attack, take a look at this.  Here's the link:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/blog/280/entry-110-protect-your-guns-from-an-electro-magnetic-pulse-attack-now/
  16. What would really be hilarious to me is if the police could arrest her for false identification if this person was stopped and didn't have the exact same head cover on in the same way such as in color, or eyes showing when stopped or different in any way from the picture just to make a point.
  17.  I've read the comics all the way through. I think you are probably right.
  18. Yeah, me also.  I think I'm going to go have one right now..... :yuck:
  19. I thought rack spreads and quality of racks was genetic. It would seem to me that hunting leases and the TWRA would want to eliminate the bucks like the small 6, 8 or larger deer with small racks and spreads and limit the killing of larger racks for a couple of years or so to allow the better quality bucks to breed and thin the herd of the inferior deer. That's my thinking anyway.
  20. I'm thinking the matches are going to be 22 matches, if they are approved.
  21. Now, Holly has done the ground work and laid out the method needed to beat Rousey. She may be losing more fights soon.
  22. Great info Sir. Thank you very much.
  23. I know right?  LOL
  24. Do any of you own one of these? I'm hearing that a local club is talking about having some cowboy silhouette pistol matches and I'll need a gun for this. I don't have the money I used to have when I worked so these would fit my buget much better than the Rugers, Colts etc.....Any info would be appreciated.
  25. Hey, the topic is still relevant and things could have changed. Personally, I think the Chattanooga Rifle Club is a great place to shoot and they have lots of competition matches too. The price is right at only $125 a year for an individual. My wife and I pay $150 for a year for family membership. They have a great website. Look them up.
