  1. That's a beautiful knife Slybo. You do great work!
  2. LOTS of info on here from all over the world.   http://www.defensenews.com
  3. I don't know but I sure hope it does. It's $100 for an annual permit at PC or $5.50 for 2 hours. I have no idea how they keep up with the time on those.  I quit going up there a few years ago after seeing some really stupid people showing up as well as a few a****les showing up. It got pretty bad for a while before they upgraded the place. I joined the CRC and always shoot there now.
  4. My benefactor status ran out a couple of weeks ago or so and I will get caught up as soon as I recover from a new heat and air unit replacement and water heater replacement, both which went out on the same day!!  I'm hoping to go lifetime this go around though.

  6. I used to love to go to the Daytona 500. Now it's just a reminder that I need to get the lawn mower serviced and ready to go. LOL. I still like to watch it on TV though. I used to always go to Talladega and Atlanta also, but it's been years.
  7. I was about to join a local indoor range a few years back. While the paperwork was being done for my wife and I, I walked over and looked out on the range where a couple of people were shooting. They had the place setup so that the brass would almost always go forward onto the range which was inaccessible. The guy said we were ready to sign the application and as I walked back to the counter I asked about the brass being thrown outwards so it couldn't be retrieved. He said "yeah, we keep all of the brass. We have a couple of places that buy it from us. I tore the application in two and said that was a deal breaker for me and we left. I haven't been back to that place for anything.
  8. I admire anyone in LE.  It takes a lot of patience I'm sure to watch someone that's killed someone and maimed others to be arrested 9 times in one year after they get out of prison just to be turned back out on the streets over and over again..
  9. I will never understand the revolving door of "justice". It's a joke and it makes me sick to read this crap.   http://www.chattanoogan.com/2016/2/19/318362/Man-With-2007-Vehicular-Homicide.aspx
  10. Another awesome blade GT!!!!
  11. The IRS decides to audit Grandpa, and summons him to the IRS office. The IRS auditor was not surprised when Grandpa showed up with his attorney. The auditor said, ‘Well, sir, you have an extravagant lifestyle and no full-time employment, which you explain by saying that you win money gambling. I’m not sure the IRS finds that believable.’ ‘I’m a great gambler, and I can prove it,’ says Grandpa. ‘How about a demonstration?’ The auditor thinks for a moment and says, ‘Okay. Go ahead. ‘ Grandpa says, ‘I’ll bet you a thousand dollars that I can bite my own eye.’ The auditor thinks a moment and says, ‘It’s a bet.’ Grandpa removes his glass eye and bites it. The auditor’s jaw drops. Grandpa says, ‘Now, I’ll bet you two thousand dollars that I can bite my other eye.’ The auditor can tell Grandpa isn’t blind, so he takes the bet. Grandpa removes his dentures and bites his good eye. The stunned auditor now realizes he has wagered and lost three grand, with Grandpa’s attorney as a witness. He starts to get nervous. ‘Want to go double or nothing?’ Grandpa asks ‘I’ll bet you six thousand dollars that I can stand on one side of your desk, and pee into that wastebasket on the other side, and never get a drop anywhere in between.’ The auditor, twice burned, is cautious now, but he looks carefully and decides there’s no way this old guy could possibly manage that stunt, so he agrees again. Grandpa stands beside the desk and unzips his pants, but although he strains mightily, he can’t make the stream reach the wastebasket on the other side, so he pretty much urinates all over the auditor’s desk. The auditor leaps with joy, realizing that he has just turned a major loss into a huge win. But Grandpa’s own attorney moans and puts his head in his hands. ‘Are you okay?’ the auditor asks. ‘Not really,’ says the attorney. ‘This morning, when Grandpa told me he’d been summoned for an audit, he bet me twenty-five thousand dollars that he could come in here and pee all over your desk and that you’d be happy about it.’
  12. I'd have to go with the 870 also. I have slugs, buckshot, #4's and #6's and plenty of them.
  13. Meanwhile, Obama and his minions are going  :panic:  :panic:  :panic: over global warming......."The REAL threat to the USA"......yeah right.
  14. :bowrofl:  VERY GOOD!!!  Thanks. I needed a laugh today!
  15. If you can find one (junkyards are scarce now) you could change it out. If you decide on a rebuild, you may try doing it yourself and having a shop do the final set-up and adjustments.
  16. I don't know about this guy, but many of us grew up and cut our teeth with guns at an early age and with training that long ago was passed on through the generations from a parent that hunted or was involved with other shooting sports like the old fashioned ham and turkey shoots (pretty much nothing but a memory now), skeet, sporting clays etc....This still occurs I know, but not like it used to. Life was much easier back then and I can remember when people seldom locked their doors in small towns and suburbs and didn't feel the need to have a gun to protect their life in their homes. Times have changed so much in my lifetime and now many people are buying their first gun now for self defense in the home and otherwise with little or no training, I'm surprised their aren't more of these events. I look back on my 63 years with fond memories of the old turkey shoots and hunting quail with my dad and hunting deer with friends and family. A person could hunt just about anywhere simply by asking land owners. Now it's all about leases and money. The everyday world we live in is much more violent now. The neighborhood I live in is clean and filled with good people, yet we have had 3 burglaries and several cars broken into in the past 2 years. A couple of these events in broad daylight. We now have a neighborhood watch program and regular meetings. I'm glad I grew up when I did. I know one thing. I cannot see a silver lining in the future and I hate it for my kids and their kids.   I reread this and I apologize if you feel I rambled on....I haven't slept much the past few nights and have a lot on my mind. it's getting to me I guess.
  17. Of all the things to do yourself in your home, electrical wiring is not one of them. It can cause fires usually from loose connections from improper installation, or undersized wiring being overloaded either of which can cause a great amount of heat and fire. Hire an electrician. While several outlets wired to one breaker is not uncommon, They are meant for general lighting per NEC, not power equipment. A 1500 watt heater maxes out a 15 amp breaker (Watts/Volts = Amps  1500/120 = 12.5 amps). That's why you have dedicated circuits for Microwaves, the kitchen outlets (toasters, coffee makers, etc...) and also in the bathroom. A garage where power tools are to be used has to be planned out when being wired to accommodate larger capacity circuits. Most homes are wired as cheap as possible by builders aka 15 amp breakers and 14 gauge wire. The breakers are there to protect the wiring. Simply installing a larger breaker will put your home at risk. Saving a couple of hundred dollars is not worth it.
  18. O'Reilly's is a great source for specialty tools when they have what you need. I've used them several times. You pay a deposit which you get back in full when you return the tool. Free tool rental. Can't beat that!
  19. My firearms are insured by Cannon. Fire, water and burglary. I don't need no stink'n insurance company.
  20. What a great thread!!  Thanks!  And a beautiful knife!
  21. Interesting.....I like it and may check into one of these. It fits just about all Glock models too.   http://www.amazon.com/Glock-Sport-Combat-Holster-9mm/dp/B015ZPIE7K
  22. Good idea...thanks for sharing this. I've been looking for something like this.
  23. That is one grotesque woman.....and I'm not talking about her looks. But she is ugly as sin also.
  24. It's another attack from those that will demand we not judge all muslims by the actions of a few lunitics, but to judge all gun owners by the actions of a few lunitics.   Here's an NRA article on thiis subject:   https://www.nraila.org/articles/20150625/you-may-feel-some-pressure
