  1. Yep...my thoughts precisely Leroy. I was just posting out of curiosity since I have noticed that the G-43 seems to have no issues reported, yet the G-42 has had several issues from reports I've read. I guess it could be LWS (limp wrist syndrome....LOL) since it seems a lot of women like the G-42 and sometimes have a tendency to have a lighter grip on a pistol.
  2. Or boat houses.....'cause technically they are on TVA property.
  3. Being a big fan of Glocks I often read about them just to see what's up. I was recently surprised while reading about multiple problems with the Glock 42. I've read about barrel problems, feed problems, slide problems and mag problems. What's the scoop on this sweet looking pistol? I'm not in the market or anything, but just wondering how a company famous for making very reliable pistols dropped the ball. Has anyone here had trouble with the 42? I know it happens, but I've got 2 of them I've had for 3 or 4 years, a 27 and 34, and can't remember the first hiccup out of either of mine.
  4. This just shows what a very generous site TGO is with many members that have never really met, yet treat each other almost like family. This is a great place to hang out!
  5. That is a great price. They are still $149 at Academy Sports. Good find!
  6. Yep. that's what all my Liberal ex-friends say!!! Wellcome to TGO!
  7. Obama will take him in.....maybe they can sit around and cry on each others shoulders. YEP....just read it. Obama supports the present government. http://www.breitbart.com/middle-east/2016/07/15/turkey-coup-obama-erdogan/ Here's the last comments of the article: "Erdogan has pushed step-by-step create an Islamic state. That Islamic push is being resisted by secular, educated Turks, mostly in the major cities. Erdogan has also tried to revive the defunct Ottoman Empire by building a new presidential palace and surrounding himself with guards dressed as the soldiers of the Ottoman empire, which collapsed in 1920. That push has been strongly resisted by neighboring Arab countries, and largely ignored by European governments."
  8. MOOOOOOOO........ve
  9. Erdogan's antics have been polarizing the country for several years. It looks like they've called his hand. Maybe other leaders in the world will take note of what happens when one goes too far.
  10. "In a statement sent by email and reported on Turkish TV channels, the military said all of Turkey's existing foreign relations would be maintained and that the rule of law would remain the priority. According to the military tonight's action will 'reinstall the constitutional order, democracy, human rights and freedoms, to ensure that the rule of law once again reigns in the country, for the law and order to be reinstated'. The military statement went on to say that 'all international agreements and commitments will remain. We pledge that good relations with all world countries will continue'." Guess well soon see.
  11. A left leaning SCOTUS would/will reverse those decisions It may take them a little time, but they WILL get it done if it goes that way.
  12. It's a great lake and it's never been this good, even back in the 70's before TVA sprayed and killed ALL the vegetation. After that, 15 lbs would win the CBA. After the Florida strain was stocked it has exploded, even with all the fishing pressure it has now.
  13. 2 bags over 30lbs!! 1st place was 32.53 and 2nd place was 30.13. Five fish. 20th place had 20.79. Night time is where it's at folks!!
  14. This is very true. Quality costs money and it's great for those that can afford those kinds of items and/or have a real need for it as in daily use. Like tools for instance. When I worked, I bought the best quality tools I could afford for that very reason. I probably don't use a cooler more than 3 weeks out of the year and use a more budget priced one. The one I have now for camping I've had 10+ years and it keeps ice for 3 days at least if I keep it up off of the ground. I've learned if I put a small rock on each corner and keep a 1" or 2" air space underneath it it helps keep ice by at least 1/3rd longer. Works for me anyway.
  15. Yeti's are amazing from what I hear. The wife story I understand very well. I have an igloo marine that I always ice down crappie when i catch them to transport home to clean. I can scrub and clean it with baking soda and everything for camping, but she won't touch a thing in it!! LOL
  16. I'm sure there are commercial uses for a $1300 cooler, offshore fishing charters and so forth. Tax deductible I'm sure. LOL...It does make one think how they ever got by without one don't it? Kinda like our cellphones and those GPS devices when we travel.
  17. No thanks. I'll just keep my Igloo thank you..!!!
  18. The Ozark seems to perform well. I was outside for about 4 hours drinking tea. I filled the tumbler with ice only at the beginning and added tea 3 times. The tea was already cold, but it was a lot better than using a plastic one.
  19. If anyone in the Chattanooga area is looking for these, the Walmart on Signal Mountain Road has a LOT of them. They have been hard to find. I got one for Fathers Day and was told it that's where it came from. They really do seem to be just like the YETI.
  20. Personally, I'm certain this is headed our way yet many of our politicians can think about is AR-15's. They simply don't seem to care about the fact that when wolves attack, sheep die. http://www.cbsnews.com/europe-terror/
  21. So we have innocent people that are on these lists unjustly that cannot seem to get themselves removed. We also have the Orlando Shooter that was investigated by the FBI who later dropped the case and this person was also on these lists and later removed. The LISTS aren't working and have proven totally unreliable. they should be getting rid of these lists while developing better surveillance means of tracking terrorists and leave the rights of the law abiding citizen's access to the firearm of his/her choice alone. Like someone said....we're not suppose to judge Islam by the actions of this guy, but it's ok to judge all gun owners by the actions of this same guy. It seems that lack of sleep from worrying about ways to get re-elected has fried the brains of those in Washington.
  22. Great post Caster and great pics of your new best bud! He won't take the place of the last bud since each one is different, he'll just find his place in your heart and snuggle up with him there.
  23. I was looking at this myself Dolomite, before I got hit with a new A/C and other problems. Rather than go through all the research and the mega pages of info to do this, I had decided on this solution: https://www.amazon.com/Goal-Zero-39004-XX-Large-Generator/dp/B007Q27WEM/ref=sr_1_24?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1465912055&sr=1-24&keywords=goal+zero This seems to be the absolute best solution for me. It's plug and play with the backing of a company that has already done the research, development and manufacture and it's portable. This will be my next expense as soon as I get the wifes $3K cataract surgery paid for.....It's always something...LOL!!!. PS....you can also get smaller units depending on the job at hand.
  24. Their setting things up for the Hillary administration to gut the 2nd amendment.
