1. Unconstitutional? Probably. But, it's kinda like the IRS. They proudly claim that taxpayers taxes are paid via "Voluntary Compliance". But watch what happens to those that DON'T volunteer.
2. Ouch! Dats. Lotto money!
3. Those were my words about 6am this morning. 2001 dodge diesel so I had to buy 2 danged new ones. Just got em in. Driving in to work in the wife's car, I was thinking and couldn't remember how old they were. I knew they were old after digging for the receipt when i got home because it was barely readable. Feb of 07..!! Pretty good batteries I decided. So, I went right straight to Wally World and got 2 more Maxx 27's...(No...they didn't have any ammo!! Dang it) $89 each. Hope I get 6 years out of these new ones.
4. It's not just our government that's changing.....it's the whole freak'n world. And it's heading down hill fast.
5. Wait till spring...you won't have to worry about all that crap....!!! LOL
6. I know it'll never happen, but if everyone could curb their ammo appetite for a couple of weeks or so the manufacturers could catch up. Then the shelves would begin to look normal again.
7. "He served four tours of duty in Iraq and was twice wounded by gunfire. He participated in every major battle in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the insurgents had a bounty on his head." Very sad day.....truly an American hero. Looks like the insurgents wanted him bad.
8. Not only is this an excellent article, but it contains a lot of points that can be used to absolutely shut down a person ragging on the RTKBA subject. I'm gonna study it some more and prepare for the opportunity to correct those that rant on about the evils of guns in today's society. Than your for the post.
9. We already know where the cowardly mayors of the major cities of tennessee stand.....and it's ain't with the law abiding armed citizens. They are not worthy to shine the shoes of the Utah Sheriffs group that sent that letter.
10. I have no FB account and never will. My wife has one and it's the biggest bunch of drama B.S. I've ever seen in my life. 99% of the crap she reads on there is phony as a $12 bill. I've never seen so many people trying to be top bitch and so much bull in one place in my life.....LOL Anyway....that's what I think about it.
11. After the last panic, I did stop and think. I watched some gun sites and picked up an 870 tactical and bought a couple of cases of double "naught" buck for it and for other firearms I've purchased . I bought ammo and some firearms I felt would work good in a defensive situation. I see no need in stocking items If you cant protect / hold them. I've fallen short a bit on food items and water. I do need to get back on the wagon and complete my food and water stash. I'll be at the store tomorrow cranking back up onmy backup food supply. Thanks for the reminder. Maybe after I get caught up on the food and water stash, the ammo will be ready for harvest...Lol Thanks for the reminder
12. Welcome Plungerhead. Nice pistol you picked out. That and the buckmark are both great plinkers. I really think the ammo manufacturers were caught off guard as was everyone and will get caught up soon and ammo will be easier to get. Ther has to be a saturation point that will be reached eventually too. Mean time while you don't have ammo, get that pistol out with the manual and read about it and get used to field stripping / cleaning and just get intimate with your first pistol. Check out YouTube on your particular pistol. Lots of videos exist on most popular firearms and some are very informative. When you do get some ammo get together with the friends you mentioned and let them show you the ins and outs of having fun with a gun!
13. How do I do this? The info I got from them says $600 .
14. I bet Emanuel had to go outside and puke after signing that check!!!!! LOL
15. Never.....I repeat NEVER take a knife to a gun fight....LOL.
16.
It is possible to get an umbrella general liability policy connected with your home owners policy. If you're an up standing citizen it is very affordable.
I'm very interested in this. I've heard of this, but thought it was expensive. I guess I need to talk to my agent....
17. Just wondering how many have upgraded at the reduced rate they are offering? I've been a member for 30+ years and should have gone life years ago. I'm thinking this might be the time to do it. Not because of the rate, but because of the fight ahead.
18. I do know what you're saying Wyldk2.  Money obviously creates power and the more money the more power.  Some people, like Bloomberg for instance can't get enough of either. The one thing however, they all seem to forget is the fact that they will all take the same amount of money and power to their grave as the rest of us. His body will rot in a million dollar coffin I'm sure, but rot it will.
19. Billionaire Mayor. Total gun ban freak.  But HE has a large armed security detail that follows him everywhere he goes. Read the whole story here:   http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2013/01/28/EXCLUSIVE-Journalist-Accosted-By-Security-Over-Mayor-Bloomberg-Gun-Control-Question
20. Personally, I think both videos are very revealing. The one about Panetta speaks for itself.  The other one seemed to have information that does ring a familiar bell much of the time.  The change, or coming out, of Obama does have substance with me. The mainstream media has totally ignored his past and his history and actually fought hard to keep things out of the public eye. I don't mean as in the birth certificate fiasco, but in covering up his origins that are really not American. They have ignored his close relationships with Socialists and his infatuation with Socialism, it's movement here in America and Marxist Socialism in particular. They have covered up or quickly quelled many believable stories about his youth in America and belittled any kind of negative news or reports about him and most certainly do appear to be a very strong arm of his political machine. They fiercely magnify any perceived sins of the right, yet with the same ferocity magnify the image of Obama.   I have also wondered a lot in the past few years about how we would ever be able to pay China back for the loans. I would not be surprised at all to learn that Obama has worked purposely to put us in the position to be forced to honor his supposed promises to China of huge chunks of the wealth of our countries raw resources to them. This could well be his way of "paying America back" since he feels America committed similar sins to his fathers homeland and much of the worlds third world countries by taking the raw resources, refining them and selling them back to them at huge profits.  His background is not an American background at all. To a Socialist, Capitalism is seen as the largest enemy of the advancement of smaller countries. All of these feelings could very well be deeply instilled in Obama and could be the source for Michelle Obama's statements of hating America as they would most likely rub off on her.   Lastly, I'm sure there were many people in Germany and in Cuba that laughed at anyone that cautioned the direction of these countries actions right up until they found themselves in a dictatorship. But, then it was too late to do anything about it.   Food for thought anyway.....don't you think?
21. Imagine a nationwide boycott with literally millions of perfectly legal citizens doing this same thing and voting every POS that votes for a gun control bill out of office.  Now, wouldn't that be cool?
22. If it didn't affect us, Obama, Clinton, Pelosi, the Brady bunch and all the rest wouldn't be pushing for it so hard.
23.
Dont worry, I'm sure the ACLU will be all over it lol.
You know, the ACLU is against the individual right of arms possession and was not in agreement with the recent Supreme Court decisions at all. They'll be right on board with this bill. The ACLU is against any firearms in schools or police in schools stating concerns of civil liberties of minorities: "We fear that neutral sounding safety policies, such as putting more cops in school will lead to the over-incarceration of school-age children, especially students of color and students with disabilities, who are disproportionately arrested and prosecuted for issues that would normally be handled by school administrators when law enforcement is introduced into schools.” In striking down Washington D.C.'s handgun ban by a 5-4 vote, the Supreme Court's decision in D.C, theACLU stated it disagrees with the Supreme Court's conclusion about the nature of the right protected by the Second Amendment. THEN they say: "However, particular federal or state laws on licensing, registration, prohibition, or other regulation of the manufacture, shipment, sale, purchase or possession of guns may raise civil liberties questions." Hard to figure that bunch out.
24. "Mrs. Feinstein's measure would exempt more than 2,200 types of hunting and sporting rifles; guns manually operated by bolt, pump, lever or slide action; and weapons used by government officials, law enforcement and retired law enforcement personnel." Yep...I saw it on da innernet....on the Washington Times website.
25. The people that create all of these laws are so very special, aren't they? They make the laws and exempt themselves. How would this work in the real world? You own a business, hire some people to create rules for you and your company, but, they always exempt themselves from these rules. How long would it be before you fired them?
