TN Bill to remove restrictions on knife possession and carry
Randall53 replied to Capbyrd's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Why in blazes was no supremacy clause included in the CCW law? Its like a trap waiting in the trail in a lot of these small Towns. -

Wish I just had a couple thousand of those!!!! -
Awesome...!! Looks like you got the right side covered. Now, figure out the mag holders on the left and you're there!

Yep...Ain't life grand, watching it from the trenches as the "elite" quiver and shake in their boots? Maybe they'll like dealing with the TSA better than I did. BEFORE I quit flying completely.

The fact is that Obama just recently signed on to a $300 billion tax increase for 2013. That's close to 2 percent of the GDP. The Liberals all say these are OK but an $85 billion cut in spending, which is all the sequester will cut, will cause the economy to collapse. Ridicules......IMHO...

I've got to wonder though, these laws we've been discussing in other threads about concealed carry firearms. Every town seems to have a law about carrying a weapon. Has anyone seen the wording? Are we going to be in the same situation? -
Hmmm....could we just tie one to a chair every hundred yards or so? Kinda use them for bait?.....lol

Also on handguns,I use a wooden dowell to clean the barrels. No scratching of the barrel surface. Works great for me.

Old T-shirts here too. Old socks anything cotton. I cut them up and put them into a zip lock.

And we could use the help in keeping it that way!

.22lr ammo prices are high in Tennessee:)
Randall53 replied to graycrait's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I've seen eley match ammo for less than $20 a box of 50 just roaming around the ammo sites online earlier today. I think the last site I saw some at was Graf and sons. If I gotta pay .30 around, it'll be for something like that. -

Alamo Ammo had the Winchester and Remington 550 bricks I paid $17 for just a few month ago for get this........$249.00 I sent them an email and said I was marking them off of my list for any ammo. I also said Congratulations!!! those prices were making the rounds on the gun forums and they were the laughing stock of the web..." So far no reply. Had to edit this....I guess they'll have the last laugh on me. I just went back and they had Federal, Winchester and Remington 550 Bricks all for $249 EACH BRICK........now they only have Winchester!!! I'm amazed. You can buy a brand new Ruger 10/22 for less than that on Gunbroker no less. -
That counts more than anything with my wife too.

I've have a new Dillon SqDeal I plan on setting up as soon as I get some time off from work. I'm glad to see this thread. There are lots of ideas on here. Thanks to all for sharing!

I have to second this opinion. I too, have a Glock, a G17 on the bed stand all the time if we are home. I love 'em. When we leave, it goes into the safe until we get back. (never know when a thief will break down the door while your gone). My wife is not the best at racking the slide, but can get it done since the slide is larger than some pistols (Walther PPK comes to mind). She does shoot it very well however. The slide is a non issue at home I feel since she won't have to do this for self defense in our home. It's loaded and ready to at all times. In an emergency, all you have remember is to aim and pull the trigger just like a revolver, but with 15 or 17 rounds depending on what magazine you have. I can't remember either of my Glocks ever failing. I always have the mag loaded with Hydro Shocks which have never misfired that I can remember. A Pump shotgun is hard to handle for her. We've worked at it but she doesn't like it. It's not hard to get her to the range to shoot the 17 either!

I thought I'd share this website. I've been looking for a rack to place my handguns in while inside my safe. These are really top shelf from what I can see. I think I'm going to order one. They also make some really good looking pistol asseccory storage that match. http://www.manaboutracks.com/Pages/default.aspx

I would have agreed 15 years ago. Not anymore. I was just as sure as you that no way could Obama win a second term. The possible scenario I see is that the liberal left has 4 more years to Kow Tow to the masses that just voted him in. They could even gain millions of new votes through making illegal aliens citizens and making it easy for those south of the border to do the same. Obama will continue to dredge every pond in search of votes for his side. If Obama supported Biden to take over the reigns? That's the scary thought to me for my kids and grand kids.

The NRA-ILA website has another article on Uncle Joe. In case you missed it, I thought it's worth a look for laughs......One guy has already been arrested for following Uncle Joe's advice of going outside and "shooting your shotgun into the air" to scare away intruders, but now he takes it a step further.....If you hear someone outside your house, just "fire the shotgun through the door!"....You know what cares the bejeebies outta me though? This FREAK'N idiot brain dead Obama Butt Licker is said to be drooling at both corners of his mouth for a shot at the White House in 2016. http://www.nraila.org/news-issues/articles/2013/3/more-bad-advice-from-biden.aspx

WTF moment: Kid disarms a gunman and gets suspended!
Randall53 replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I wonder if the principle would have the same reaction if it had been her child the gun was pointed at? -
Excellent....thanks again! Man....I love this site!

Thanks Raoul. I've been seeing his name come up anytime a gun show pops up....I'll do that. I've been watching ebay for some dillon SD dies.

Technology is amazing. Where will it lead.....that's the question.

I'll amen that! I took stock today of my needs and don't needs, ammo wise. I've got a nice Dillon SqD reloader but I only have 38spc 357 dieset. I can use the 38, don't have a 357. I'll be collecting some 380, 45, and 9mm dies whenever I can find some. Also, LOTS of reloading supplies. I've got a lot of brass of all calibers. I'll get there.
