  1. All of 'em to that queen of Jive Feinstein.....Not being a smart ass...just an observation. Where the heck are these aliens in their space ships that kidnap all these people when you need them???
  2. "immenent danger...?" "Is there any other kind...?"
  3.   Great point.  WE all know it's for their protection, and rightly so. I have no problem at all with this. But the general peasantry has no need for protection in the eyes of the Liberal Elite, especially Bloomberg, Biden, Pelosi, Feinstien and the rest of the freedom hating liberals even though they have hired guns protecting them. The best advice they seem to be able to give the female peasants is to pee and crap your pants to stop a rapist.
  4. It's just amazing how the Liberals are saying anything and everything to sway the uninformed against the 2nd Amendment. They are out to destroy this country.   Vice President Joe Biden told hunters Wednesday there’s no bear too big, no varmint too small that requires the use of a semiautomatic rifle when hunting.  “If you have to go up into the Poconos and go bear hunting or deer hunting with that weapon, and you need a clip that has 30 rounds in it, then you shouldn’t be hunting,” Biden said in an interview with Field & Stream magazine released Wednesday. “You’re a danger to yourself. If you can’t get the bear or the deer in four or five shots, you’ve got a problem."    Earlier in the day, Biden delivered a similar comment when he spoke to the National Association of Attorneys General, but that time mentioned varmints.  “I was told, ‘No, we need it for those little varmints.’ OK, I got it. More muskrat and mice might be alive. OK.  I think we can put up with that,” Biden said at the luncheon.  “Guys, these arguments!”   Here's the clincher......and what they TRULY want: "And lastly, but not least, the Assault Weapons ban and the limitation on the size of magazines, let me say this as clearly as I can: this is just the beginning. We believe that weapons of war have no place on our streets. That’s the message that the retired admirals and generals have spoken to us about. The comment one of them used was: if you want to learn how to use a semi-automatic weapon, join the United States military, but these are weapons of war, and we believe there’s no rational reason why someone would need a clip that can hold fifteen, twenty, thirty, one-hundred bullets, one-hundred rounds. We have to do more and we will do more."   In other words ANY semi-auto is a weapon of war.  They have no intentions of stopping with the black rifles.
  5. 89? Sounds good to me....I found a website but it was confusing to me. The website I found said safeties began in 86.
  6. lWell, I don't know if all that's true our not, but I'm not going to fund his purchase of extras if I have to pay $100 for a box of ammo other stores sell for $20. I bought a brick the other day from Cabellas for $29 shipped to my door. personally, I hope they lose their butts.
  7. there are too many places selling at normal prices, when they do have ammo, for Benton's to be the victim of an overcharging distributor. 10% maybe I'd believe.....but not 400% markup.
  8.   I think that's a great idea myself. And PIN IT.......for future reference.
  9. My buckmark Camper shoots it just fine. That danged thing will shoot anything I think.
  10. I can't believe you posted this......I was told TODAY by a very good friend of mine that said he drove up there from Chattanooga area because of a radio ad he had heard that they had plenty of ammo.  He drove an hour up there and came back empty handed.  He said he would NOT every go to Benton's Shooters Supply for anything no matter what the price after what he saw. You confirmed everything he said. 22LR and every other ammo for totally outrageous prices. He took enough money, he thought, to buy quite a bit of 22LR and some handgun ammo.  He left empty handed.  He said he only had enough money for 2 bricks of 22LR.  I asked him how much money he took, he said $200, but he wasn't spending it at Bentons. That's way past ridiculous. I have marked them off of my list.  I won't buy a thing from them no matter what the price. I hope they have to close their doors when things get back to normal.
  11. I was into Karate in my early 20's and studied for a few years.  Was pretty good.  I'm 60 now with degenerative discs (construction work) and several surgeries to legs, ankles etc later.....I might start out fighting but would be forced quickly (30 seconds at most?) to cutt'n and/or shoot'n. That's just the way I roll boys....
  12. Well, it'd be nice to have a president that if you sent them a quartered Moose, you'd get a helluva thank you note and maybe an invite for dinner at the WH......Also, it's pretty obvious that you don't gotta know Jack Shcitt to be president by watching the Dweeb Ass Obama that's in there now.  Seriously though....if you do some research, she is NOT the dummy the media and Saturday Night Live (kinda the same venue) put her up to be.  She's not a dumbass, and had an approval rating of over 80% her first term. Yeah she quit.  After the Liberal Swine attacked her family and the Liberals even got a state trooper involved in running her into the ground.  Her quitting was after her being picked as the VP.  Before that she was walking the dog in Alaska and would stand up to anyone.  Again.  She's smarter than that freak'n SH sell out America fast as we can excuse we've got in there now.  I'd vote for her in a NYM.
  13. Face Book?  LOL....I lasted 2 days.....LOL....I S$#t you not.....I wiped it out and took a 30 minute shower....That was about 2 years ago. Drama on STEROIDS!!!
  14.   Dang UncleJak....her picture is beside the word HOT in the dictionary!!!  Well.....MY dictionary anyways....
  15. I didn't see it. But wasn't it put out by HBO? HBO is MSNBC on steroids. Got to be to let Bill Mayer have a show on the network.
  16. I know that she was vetted, well actually picked down to the bone, by the media enough for 5 presidents, The liberals were THAT scared of her.....yet Obama was not vetted at all by the same group. Instead he was shielded and all skeletons were buried where they remain until this day.
  17.   You just pegged me to a tee....I have 2 - 22 rifles and 3 - 22 pistols.  Everytime I go to the range I take at least 2 of them along with whatever else I want to practice with that day....PPKS, Glock, Ruger......but ALWAYS a couple of 22's.  Especially if I plan on a couple of hours at the range. My son or my wife and I have gone through a whole brick more times than I can remember with both of us shooting pistols or pistol and rifle. But, the 380's, 45's, 32's ect...we shoot a couple of boxes or so of each and that's it. I tend to shoot the Glocks more though....at times.  I just love to shoot them.  I was caught with my pants down this time though...I had 1 and a half bricks and just ordered another one. I'll be stocking up when things loosen up though.
  18.   Thanks for all the info from everyone.  First, it does have a safety by the hammer. It does say 1894S with MicroGrove on the barrel and it does have the JM on the barrel stamp.  It also says Marlin - Made in Connecticut.  The first 2 digits of the SN is 11 so I'm guessing it was made in 99....right?   Anyway. I'm real pleased with it. I gave $450 for it but It looks like it's not been hunted with at all and is in great shape.  No wear at all even on the loading ramp. The biggest plus is it's a real blast to shoot!  I had a half a box of 44 mags I bought back in October when I bought a S&W 629 used. I've ordered 44 mag dies for my Dillon Square Deal, but of course I have very little brass and no primers or bullets.  I keep looking but haven't seen any yet. I'm still on the lookout though for some more 44 mags so I can shoot it some more. I may get lucky this weekend at Sportsman's Warehouse.  I usually go by and look at reloading stuff and ammo also every weekend.  Maybe a few boxes will will show up.   I've looked for one of these for quite a long time.  I was really surprised when I mentioned these rifles to my neighbor and he said "I've got one...."  I was even more surprised when he said "yeah....I'll sell it."    I really do appreciate all the replies from everyone. That's why I like this place so much, you get real answers from knowledgeable people when you ask a question here, unlike some other places and I'll just leave it at that.   Thanks again!   Oh...gregintenn.  I can't remember where I saw the 44 specials cheaper, but it was a website. Sorry.  It wasn't a lot, maybe 5 bucks a box of 50. But, that said, I've not seen that to be true since then.  It seems like now when I find them, they are about the same and sometimes the specials are more.  I think reloading is the way I'm heading anyway.
  19. The shocker for me was the ones that sided with him. Kagan, Sotomayor and Ginsburg while Roberts, Alto and Kennedy went against....Go figure.
  20. I'd like to see a Cruz / Rand Paul or a Rand Paul / Cruz ticket........won't matter too me. The'd get my vote.
  21. The only thing larger than bloomberg's bank account is his ego. Best thing I can say about him is he'll go to his grave just like the rest us......leaving every thing behind.
