I agree josh....I've got 3, and love em all. I wish they made a compact 45 on the 1911 design though.

There ain't no shortcuts.......to be world class...what does it take? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1078842/Practice-makes-perfect-Why-takes-10-000-hours-success-according-academic.html -
The glock 26, (9mm shorty or "baby glock") holds 10+1 just like the 30... But the 30 is a 45. I'll take 11 .45's over 11 9mm's anytime

Randall53 replied to Capbyrd's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Hmmm....knife? Glock 30.......knife? Glock 30.......seems like my dad always said..."Randall.....remember this, never take a knife to a gun fight". I think I'll stick with the Glock 30. I DO Carry a serrated Gerber though....just FER cutt'n rope though......and the occasional varmint that needs cut'n.........LOL. -

ROFLMAO!!!!!!! OH YEAH!!!!!!

I agree and have no problem with the rules. I just move on. I am very surprised though when these items sell here. My experience has shown a LOT of savvy and forthright people on this forum. That's why I like this place so much. You ask a question, you get excellent info as an answer. Been my experience anyway.

I've done ok. By adding here and there when I found normal prices, I now have at least 1500 rounds of everything I shoot, and 3 cases of skeet 20 gauge. I'm done until the shelves are full and the super sales are on because of overstocking.....then I'll REALLY load up! I have a very hungry ammo safe. LOL!
-
That's exactly what I do. I move on. But I still think the people that do it are A.H's and the ones that pay it do nothing but contribute to the problem and the vicious cycle. Both groups hurt everyone.

I understand your point, and it does have merit, but when people snatch up every box from Walmart every time a truck comes in (while other people have to work) at normal prices and then jacks the price 3 or 4 times just ain't right in my book of "do unto others". And it never will.

On a lighter note, I was at sportsmans warehouse yesterday and they had quite a few boxes of ammo at the service desk.....STILL. They get ammo in on Sundays or Mondays. I did spot around 15 or more boxes of 45 100 rnd target ammo. winchester it was, I believe. I've got plenty for as little as my job allows me to shoot. But to me this was a very positive sign there is some leveling off, or saturation occuring. So, I hope soon all the gougers will be eating their ammo for supper.

I'd think it's possible for all of the loads to have been good, except the one that blew. It could have been a double charge on that one maybe, due to lack of concentration for a moment? I'm sure it's happened before. edited due to stupid smart phone spelling

EXACTLY...I don't believe for a minute that Obama pays a dime. Air Force one alone costs a bundle every hour it's in the air: "The U.S. military has provided an updated estimate on that cost, first published by a taxpayer watchdog group and confirmed by FoxNews.com, and the number is staggering -- $181,757 per hour." "That's the price tag for shuttling around President Obama, who, as it turns out, has spent more days abroad in his first two years than any other president."
-
Personally, the problem i have with it is how the "impartial" mass media slaughtered Bush every time he vacationed, yet not a peep otta them when Obama or his family, or all of them go rambling around the world. They'll even go a day or two apart, doubling the cost of travel. Yet praise will come gushing out of the media fountain owned by Obama.

Ii think this subject goes beyond supply and demand. Last time this happened, everything went up. 22 LR went from about $8 or $9 for a brick of 550 to $17 a brick. Now we are lucky to see a 525 brick going for less than $30. Same for the other calibers. There will be an increase. How much remains to be seen.

Looking for some practice advice on Guitar.

This is it..take it or no..I took banjo lessons one time. the instructor said, time in practice equals quality sound out. There is no substitute for practice. I brushed it off. Then I learned my lesson. Let me give you an example. I was taking banjo lessons. I could play the guitar, but wanted the banjo bad. I practiced about 1 to 2 hours 4 or 5 times a week after work (I was in my early 30's). The teacher had a get together on friday nights for students. I went one night but only played the guitar because I was comfortable with it in bluegrass and knew a lot of songs, not so with the banjo. I had been taking banjo lessons for 6 months. This 17 year old kid sat in the back and picked around on his banjo. He wouldn't play loud and I had trouble hearing him. During a break, when everyone else was outside, the instructor told me to come play a few with this kid.....This kid tore it up!!!! My jaw hit the floor. We played about 8 or 9 songs......He had been playing 4 months to my 6 months banjo wise. But, he practiced a minimum of 4 hours a day, 7 days a week. He practiced more each week than I did on 3 weeks. Lesson is....there is NO substitute for practice. According to Earl Scruggs, it takes 1000 SUCCESSFUL practice licks to get a banjo lick down pat muscle memory wise. Same for a guitar. We often hear the pro's play licks that are awesome. Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb" or Lynyrd Skynyd "Free Bird"....they have played those songs thousands of times. They don't even have to think anymore while playing them..... -
He shot 154+ rounds with that Bushmaster, yeh, right...

The shooter in Oregon and the shooter in Colorado, both had jams in the high capacity mags in the rifles. I'm sure we've all had the high capacity mags jam. I know I have. Usually in the last 3rd of the mag. These are the least reliable mags IMO. Again, the ignorant Liberal "requirements" that everyone should use the lower capacity mags just puts reliability back into the equation....and they don't even know it. A PITIFUL BUNCH OF POLITICIANS....that don't know Schit about guns. I'm sure many here are experienced and know that a 7, 10, 15 or 30 round mag can be changed in less than 2 seconds with just a little practice. Then again....maybe they DO know. This might be why they REALLY want total gun confiscation. -
Great look'n pistol..!! You do know it's black and therefore ILLEGAL...Right? Feinstein says so. How many does it hold in the "clip".... Sorry....I'm drink'n Prichards DOUBLE chocolate Bourbon......I poured a half bottle of Crown Reserve down the toilet after tasting the Prichards!!!! "Really?..." No...not really. I'll keep the Crown Reserve for my poor innocent guests....and HIDE the DCB!!!
