  1. I just cleaned my 44 and it was just about the same. After probably 8 total hours of cleaning the bore looks great. Just keep it up.
  2. Shop on Alcoa Hwy has 20 for 8 dollars. That is the best I have found. There are plenty of places that sell non-corrosive for under 15 for 20. Gander mountain has some non steel core for 25 for 20 you can use those at gunnys indoor range.
  3. USA ammo is great if you order a lot at once. I got some a while back and the shipping put it closer to 10 a box, great ammo though. I pick up anything 10.50 and under. The WM ammo works great for me at the range.
  4. I got my card # captured at a gas station, they got a couple of hundred from me. I went to the bank and they put the money back the same day. I was told that if after the investigation they found it to be legitimate transactions they would notify me and I would have 60 days to pay back the money. I have friends that work at other banks in the fraud dept and they said that anything under 2000 is put back in same day. If you use a CC not attached to a bank account they have 90 days to credit your account and you still get interest on the charges. I checked into using prepaid cards for online, the down side is that part of what online charges need to have is the name on the card and the billing zip code, you don't have a billing address on a prepaid. I asked my bank what was the best thing to do, the said to attach a second account that a debit card can be used on and transfer over just the money you plan on using for your online purchase. I have done this way with zero problems.
  5. I went on Sat and found it to be a decent show if you are looking for ammo, or accessories. I did come back with an item that I am having troubles finding who makes it. I could use some help, I have it posted here http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/show-tell/56008-i-need-help-figuring-out-who-makes.html thanks for any help.
  6. I have probably shot 1000 rounds of 38 and a couple hundred 257 through it and still no problems or signs of wear. I have had a great time shooting it. It is a good gun.
  7. Sorry I am still having problems with Photobucket. Here is a link to another site that I have pics You must be a member to continue! I will have pics asap
  8. I picked this up over the weekend and have researched and found nothing. Here is everything I know. It is a pellet gun, under lever pump, rifled barrel, and has a sliding rear stock. If you have seen one before or have any kind of idea of who made it or where it is from that would be something I would like to know. It only has one company mark on the whole thing and that is on the end of the pump barrel.
  9. Charlies pawn on Kingston pike in Knoxville has a carbine in stock today for 200, it looks great and numbers match. Not the greatest price but it is in stock and local. I check them a lot and seen him work some good deals. You might be able to get tax, gun, and background for 200otd. I have a m44 already so don't need another. I know of a couple places in Johnson City that carry them and are cheap. I can't remember the names off the top of my head, if you are heading that way soon, let me know and I will find the names. I will be getting my 91/30 up there (less than 100otd)
  10. I have gone to most of them lately and thought the same thing. I now just go for one booth that has 38 reloads really cheap and spend about $200 there and just look around to fondle guns. If I see something I like I write it down and look for it when I get home. I hate that there is no deals at the shows. I think if I spend $200 in ammo they could at least knock off the tax. Oh well I will still be at the next one.

    Walther P22

I just tested some ammo in my p22. I found that round nose no matter the maker works great. I had some cheap federal round and CCI both fed and fired with no problems. I also tried remington and winchester bulk JHP, I had FTF, FTE and stove pipes with them. I loaded a magazine with round nose and a magazine with HP and could see the difference in where they would hit the feed ramp. I think it is not the quality of the ammo but the shape. Just my .02
  12. I have one and the bolt on mine is so smooth. I do not have to use any effort using it. Like 7.62 said mine is banged up a little. Everyone I talk to say that they are one of the better shooters. For what I paid for mine, I am extremely happy.
  13. Wd has them 20 for $8, Bills has them 20 for $12, call ahead to Gunnys and they can get range friendly ammo 20 for $15, Coal Creek usually has them 20 for $12, Gander is usually out of stock. Frontier Arms has them 20 for $12. Randys has them 20 for $15. I think that should help you.
  14. Sliced bread. They are the first shop that I have been to where the staff seems to care about the customer. I am new to the gun collecting and I can ask a question and they actually answer it without acting like I am wasting their time. Usually when I go into a shop they act like selling something is interferring with their sitting around. CCA used to be that way but they are getting better. Maybe they should go to Bill for some training.
  15. I just found this place on Friday and have already bought one gun and will be back for another later this week. Great guys, by far the friendliest staff I have come across. The prices there are great, I saved almost 100 on my last purchase. I am lucky that they are 30 min from me or I would be broke. I would recommend them to everyone.
  16. I will be there, the ammo I like is cheap through one of the vendors there. I should be easy to spot, I will have my 5 month old little girl with me. I think I will get there around 1 on Sat
  17. Gander had them yesterday, and they were on sale.
  18. Anyone have any info on this item. I have one on hold for 195otd at a local shop. Just need to know if this is a good deal.it is a 357 six shooter. thanks Scott
  19. I have a pin in my hand and shoot what is called a Cowboy Load. It is a very light recoil. I usually can only shoot a box of regular loads before my hand hurts. I shot 4 boxes yesterday and did not hurt my hand at all.
