I tried to sell some gold a few months ago and will never do that again. I ran myself ragged going around town going store to store and meeting scumbag after scumbag trying to rip me off. I finally just went to a jewlery store and they gave me the best price. I got about 95% of spot price as of open of trading, when I got home I looked up gold and found it dropped so I ended up closer to spot then I thought. I would never go the CL, I met some really shady people. One guy was OC'ing, so I asked him where was a good place to get a carry permit, he said "you don't need one, just keep the mag seperate while carrying. Another guy brought 4 other people with him, I was sure I was going to get jumped so I faked a phone call and left. Most people on CL say they give spot but whenn you meet they say that is only for collectible gold like rare gold eagles. I had a couple of 1oz gold bars they told me that they only pay 8-900 for 1oz those, I ended up selling them for $1500 each. Spot that day was about $1550.

I got tied up this weekend and did not go, I was afraid it was going to be like the one at the NG. I guess i did not miss out on much.

My vacation just got expensive.

I have always felt if we are going to give them money they should at least work a little for it even if it is 1 eight hour work day a week. If they dont show up for 1 day a week they don't get the benifet for that week. I took UI for 5 weeks until I decieded that I was going to be a stay at home parent, when I went in to ask them about the legalities of me claiming UI with no intention of getting work they simple said most UI people have no intention on working. He then told me most of the same people have been coming in for the last 3+ years. I was told by him I could still claim it as long as I wanted but if I wanted it to stop I just had to stopcalling in on my day.

When I was in Michigan the last time I remembere seeing 10+ ruger 10/22 for 175 or less, all in great shape. I was telling the guy behind the counter that I could not find a deal like that in TN. I told him that I have not seen one for less than 200 used. He lauhed and said it would be hard to sell that here because they sell the new ones for $190. I was amazed at some of the prices. I was not aware that I could buy a rifle out of state and not have to transfer it to a FFL. I might have to pick up some stuff next time.

I used to work at a CC and golfed 5-6 times a week for 5 years. I got pretty good but in my old age the body does not want to play fair. Between my hand and ankle there is no way for me to get my swing back. I still go about 2-3 times a year and it is still fun for me as long as I keep in mind that I am no longer good at the game and that it is just a game. I can usually keep it under 100 but still have off days that shoot up to 120.

Caster had a great Idea. Here is the thread http://www.tngunowne...mo-my-solution/ I have done this with all my ammo. It gave me 10-20% more to the can than loose and they are grab and go now. I cut off the end of the factory boxes that had the specs and taped it to the top of each wrap so I can see what it is in a hurry. It took a little time to figure out how many to a wrap for all the different cals but well worth it.

I also hate that if I vote who best fits my values and goals, I would be taking a vote away from the candidate that actually has a chance of winning. I by no means feel that Romney is the guy that is going to turn the country around in 4yrs but I am terrified that if I don't vote for him that in 4yrs there will be no reason to vote in an election ever again. I feel that 4 more years of the current situation is going to collapse the US as we know it.

I meet some more die hard Ron Paul supporters today handing out flyers that said Ron Paul was the only answer to beat Obama. I did a little Q&A with them and for the most part they were nice and humored me. I asked them a question that seemed to piss them off and they walked away from me. What might that question be you ask, I simple asked "How does Ron Paul plan on winning when the last third party to win a single electoral vote was 50 years ago and the last guy to take more than 50 electoral vote was a guy named Theodore Roosevelt?" They did not have anything to say to that and just walked away from me. I normally I do not talk politics but this year my blood is boiling a little with people voting 3rd party so they don't have to vote for Romney and they fully believe that the 3rd party person they will vote for can win the election. I am all for voting for who you think is the best candidate any year but this year. To me this year comes down to voting for based n how you feel Obama did the last 3 1/2 years. If you are ok with his job vote for Obama, if you are upset with the direction of the country then you need to vote for Romney. To many people voting straight ticket kills any chance for a 3rd party to win. ok rant over

Wife works with dogs and this is the olny thing we found that works. We actually just had to do it a week ago when our dog got sprayed.

No doubt, I would pick one up at that price. I do have a lower just sitting all alone.

I have had that happen in the nashville area and after he looked at the ID I asked if it was normal to ID the passenger. He said they do it to see if a name in the car matches up with the tag and registration of the car. He said most cars are not rported for 36 hours after being stolen and they have recovered a number of stolen cars before they were even reported this way. He may be blowing smoke but I had nothing to hide or a point to prove so I took him for his word. He did not run either of our IDS and let us go with a warning about our speeding. All in all a decent experence.

Found out that one of my shooting buddies has a 220 and reloads for it. I have shot his reloads in other guns so I am confident in his loads. He offered to reload for me so I am going to go that route. I guess I will have to sell the dies I got or give them to him. Thanks for the info on the 220. This thread can be closed, thanks.

I have passed that on to a couple of guys and according to them that is too expensive as well (I guess some people are NEVER happy). I think it is a great deal and may pick another up just to have in the shop.

There is a disabled guy at my local wally that is hillarious and gives me and my kids a high five everytime we come in. I wish all the people at wally had his outlook on life. He is in a wheelchair and has one of those machines that he types on to talk. Despite all of that he always has a smile and makes sure he says hi to everyone. Gerald Rocks!!!!!

I see all kinds of videos like this and I just don't understand why people have this much trouble. I have been questioned by cops without ever giving my name or licence. I have been pulled over at these kind of checkpoints before and when they asked if I was a citizen, I just said " is that what this is? Man it really sucks you have to be out here doing this." The officer just simple said yeah it does and sent me on my way. A friend of the family works for DOD near the border and knows a lot of the cops that run the checks and they said run your plate while they are talking to you so pretty much any conversation will do. I have had several encounters at check points and never once gave my ID and never gave any trouble to the cops that are just doing there jobs.

I stopped watching after I heard him rip that guy off. I can't believe someone would be stupid enough to spend $1700 to upgrade a HD shotgun. I don't even know how you can spend $1700 on upgrades for a HD shotgun. Pretty sure I could have gotten the same gun for under $700 including buying the 870

I would love that but, there is noway anyone but Romney can get enough votes to beat Obama. It is a sad truth but every independant that has run falls short by ALOT. Ross Perot came the closest and he still did not get half the popular votes it would take to win and still got 0 electoral college votes, which are what actually matter. We have to start electing good local officials first and make our way up. As long as the electoral college is in effect it will alway be a red and blue issue. I applaude you AV for finding a good candidate to stand by but if we all vote that way we will fall together. I hate that the power has really been taken away from the people. Any other year you and I would be on the same page but this is the make or break election for our nation. Nothing I have read about Romney says he wants to take rights away, but Obama has always been open about his Obamacare which is the opening to strip rights.

Totally agree, It would be nice if all candidates would tell there supporters to vote Obama out, therefore voting for Romney. I really feel that it is all of them vs Obama. I really wish this was not the case but we need to make a change to end this downward spiral. My hope is that Romney can just slow the spin and maybe just get us going enough that the next POTUS can point us in the right direction. Looks like we are going to have rebuild 4 years at a time. If we are better off than we were when the POTUS was elected than re-elect, if not vote for the other guy.
