1. My uncle had an old Mossberg that looked similar, the end of the barrel looked the same and it came with a barrel extension.
2. Went back to the Doc that wants me to lose 60lbs to do the body fat test. Guess what I was right, there is no way for me to lose 60lbs. I have 28%body fat which totals 58.8lbs of fat. I would have to lose all my body fat and some of his(which he is bigger than me) He wants me to get around 18-20%. That means i have to lose 21 lbs on the high side. I can definatly do that. So the new resolution is 20lbs and 500rounds
3. I don't normally do resolutions but this year I am going to try 2. According to the DR. that I have been seeing I need to loose 63lbs. I don't agree but I do need to lose some weight so I will give it a go. The other resolution is the one I think I will stick with. I am going to start reloading after the first of the year and want to stay on a pace of 500 rounds a mo. That should be enough to put some away for a rainy day and let me shoot every month or so with just my loads. I thought It would be nice if some of us got together to encourge each other. So if you want to join in the fun post the resolutions and the 1st of every month we can update on here. It would just help to have some accountablility.
4. Just got the last part of mine, I will be shipping Monday or Tuesday.
5. I have a friend of the family that is on the team and got a call from him to ask for some prayers. Just say a prayer for the families, team, coach and GM. 6. I am a stay at home dad and I made comments about this before and am glad to see this was more of a positive thread. I have a 1yr old and a 2yr old and I tried alot of things for safe carry. I got a couple of different holsters and tried them out. I bought a tranning barrel to put in my glock and sig so they could not be fired at all and cleared and filled the mag of my 380 with dummy rounds. I tried out all the combos I could think of while at home. I wore each set up for 1 week and had some scary realizations. I found that a pocket pistol is not for me, within 2 hours I was playing with the kids when I heard the unnerving click of the trigger. I had one of those shoot through holsters. My son hit it just right, he is very active and kicks that area a lot. I moved on to the larger guns and found that the IWB seem better. the OWB got caught on stuff and got bumped when picking up the kids. I never had a dry fire with the full size in a holster. I used to carry OWB all the time and it took me a little bit to get comfortable with IWB but It is barely noticable now

8. Mine has not posted about guns or interest, just a lot of social issues. Sounds like a guy I would be friends with, just don't know what he likes.
9. The gift I want to get is sold out everywhere so it looks like I have to start over.

11.
I saw this on FB. Gotta love it!
I saw it on FB as well. I have 3 friends that work for a company that gives the staff paid vacation from Thanksgiving until New Years day. So they have nothing better to do than post funny stuff on FB.
12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pexIwT39m5Q I wish I was that awsome to think that fast.
13.
I do love my AR. But I think there is a lot of deluded drama in some people's eyes when it comes to the poop hitting the fan. Do you have military or other high quality training to fight with a rifle? Most of us don't and even the ones who do have a long way to go before reaching Jedi master. Do you really intend to allow yourself to be put in a position where you are repelling multitudes? Do you think you would fare well against a large group with an Ak or Ar? The 45 colt, properly loaded will hit like a sledgehammer and will cleanly kill any animal in TN. It can be loded light with a lightweight bullet and take little bunnies or heavy and knock down black bear if you put the bullet where it needs to go. It will feed you and your family. It is handy, quick and since you handload, you should be able to get a great level of accuracy from it. You get seven or eight rounds and it's easy to top off. How long past those rounds do you think you'd be able to make it in a fire fight? I won't make it much past that. I can't say for others. My opinion would be that it would be anincredible first rifle and would do very well for you needs. It will also draw very little attention as well. An AR or AK bring an automatic opinion to the mind of any who see it. The little lever gun is humble and unassuming.
perfectly said. I love my lever guns and are my goto guns. I grew up on a farm and I have always used a lever gun.

15. Along with being apart of the TGO secret santa, I am participating in several others and also our family put a $30 limit per person. I have 10 guys to buy gifts for and most of them are the type that have everything or when theysee something they like they just buy it, so they are VERY hard to buy for. So I have turned to the great minds of TGO. I am looking for cool items you have seen that made you say wow thats cool.
16. I still think that whoever that lands next to will get the point.
17. saw this on pintrest http://media-cache-lt0.pinterest.com/upload/137078382378613650_zXsSMunZ.jpg
18. Just got mine as well, thanks for the heads up
19. He gets some of my buisness now.
20. That made my morning better, Thanks.
21. My AR and Mini 14 get the same groupings with the same ammo. I get 1-2 inch groups at 100yds with Federal black box stuff and 1/2 inch with stuff hand loaded by a friend. All of this was tested on a gun rest to take my incompetence out of it.
22. Only because you are a fellow Michigander I will PM you a place here in Knoxville that seems to be fully stocked and I have not seen an increase in his prices. The best option is to wait for the next show and stock up with David. He has great prices and is a great guy to deal with.
23. The shells don't have much value, if any. The only way they are worth anything is if you have all 5 inner boxes and all 25 shells. To me 22 shells don't add much value to the box maybe 5-6 dollars. If I were selling it I would just sell the outer box for about $25 and each of the inner boxes for $3-$5 and keep or give away the shells. Shipping on the boxes would total about $2-$4 through the USPS. If you tried to sell the shells with the box you might get a total of $35 and if it is not local it is going to cost about $10 to ship through UPS.
24. I buy old hunting/gun stuff to put up in my shop on a fairly regular basis and if it is the box I think it is I have never seen it in 410 in person, only on ebay. I have a 12ga box with shells that I bought for $50 in good shape. I have seen the 12ga for sale at $150+ but they usually are for sale until the price drops to $70 or less. Based on the box having that burn mark I think you should still be able to get $20-$30. Having it full will get you more for it but the shipping is expensive so a FTF is probably the best.
25. I have been making fires for heat for almost 20yrs now and this blew me away. I have had "my" way of getting what I thought was a hot fire for the fireplace/woodstove. I was at a friends a couple of weeks ago and he had a fire going that was unbearable hot until about 5ft away. He said he has had to open windows when he makes this fire because the house gets to hot inside. He showed me how to make it and today I figured I would give it a shot. It worked and It has been going for 3 hours now and I have done nothing to it, partial because the one time I did I singed my hair off before I even reached in the fireplace. It has raised the temp in the house 15 degrees and now have to open the windows. I can't believe I had never heard of this before.
