  1. Man, I have 3 on the list. Maybe I need to get the rest an make a display.
  2. I went into to one today and saw some 7.62x39. I told the lady I wanted some, without hesitation she sat all 8 boxes on the counter and rang me up. As I was walking away she said "say hi to Keith for me" I gues she thought I was someone else. I was not going to question selling me that many. I did not ask for all of them or even tell her how many I wanted. So thanks Keith whoever you are
  3. Best guns I own. I have 6 Henrys and have slowly replacing other rifles with Henrys in the same cal. I am a lever freak so I would much rather have a lever action than a bolt action.
  4. I have used Bulldog Coatings here in Knoxville. he does a great job and his prices are very fair. Usually a quick turn around and he also is a glock armorer and has training from several other manufacturers. If you want to look into him send me a PM and I will send you his contact info.
  5. I have been around music my whole life, my step dad and sister are both musicians. I know my stepdad spent 20k + on our in home recording studio, but my sister only spent about $1,500. I think you are going about it the right way, start small and build up. There will always be  someone that will buy your stuff you are replacing. I know my sister had a computer built for $500 just for recording and got a used board from a musician that was upgrading for $300. She got good deals on everything from connections that she made. I know that she said for her the best thing she ever did was get a studio mic. She got a Stedman C15, I will let you know that she did not pay for it because the owner of Stedman Corp is a family friend, but I have seen some of his mics go for 2-$300 online you just have to keep an eye out. When she added everything up for her cost number she did put a price of 400 on the mic so $1000 is very doable with some good deals. She did spend a little more than she wanted but she uses this to make her demos. I would say that you could get a computer custom made that is only for recording for around 2-300. Desktops are getting so outdated that you can usually piece one together cheap.
  6. That was what I was thinking.
  7. I have had WOW in the past and they were a great deal. I just saw a truck go down my street and found out they are here in Knoxville. I went to there site but just like i remember their site is not that user friendly. It wont let me customize a bundle because it says they are not in my area. If anyone has them what is the general price for net and TV. If you have them and want to PM me your refer a friend code I will use it if I decide to switch. It is basically a free $100
  8. I agree, business card means you are in Business and it is no longer just for fun. I remember theses guys from some shows. They were a part of the usual sleaze ring at the shows. There are plenty more of those type of guys at the shows. I refuse to buy or to sell to the gun flipping guys. I do not want to get my name associated with them.
  9. We just recently got a new to us GMC Envoy XL, I love this thing!  The only thing that I don't like is that I can't get to family on one tank any more. I was interested in the HHO systems for several years now but having cars that get 30-40mpg I saw no need. I am not looking at the HHO to save money as much as I am looking at the miles per tank. We take 3-4 long trips a year and I would like to get there on one tank if possible. I was just wondering if anyone has actually used these systems themselves. I have plenty of "my cousins uncles brother has one" opinion so I have all those I need. I am looking for someone that has one in their personal car. It would be great if I could actually see one installed. Thanks in advance.
  10. I stopped buy today just to see what a small show looks like. I was disappointed in the amount of people not selling guns. The price of ammo was ludicrous, even higher than some of the other sights online. I did score a couple of good deals and passed on a couple of great deals on good guns. If are in the market for a .40 or 357 sig there was some good buys. Everybody had super inflated prices but after a little pushing they came down to a reasonable price. A lot less junky old shotguns than I expected to see, I was eally hoping ot pick up a good project gun but could not find one worth my time. Paid 7 to get in and I was ok with that given the deals I got. I would not have been happy just to shop and pay 7.
  11. Get a sling box and set it up at a family members house. It allows you to watch cable anywhere you want as long as you have internet access. I have a sling box at my uncles house so I can watch Lions games
  12. Academy in Knoxville has a lot of Tula 7.62x39. 1 box limit but I have been able to pick up a box everyday for the last 2 weeks. I just left with my daily ration and they still had over 100 boxes of it on the shelf. The price is 5.99, I do not mind paying the extra .40 to not go to Walmart.
  13. I caught 7.62x39 for 6.99 at Gander yesterday. I felt like I hit the lottery.
  14. I wish Academy let you get more than 1 box per Cal. It bummed me out a couple of weeks ago when I got there and they had everything but 22lr. I left with a box of 223 for a friend and a box of 762x39 for me.  I really wished I could have gotten 3 box of whatever I wanted. I guess that is why they even had it when I got there.
  15. Our daughter took to the water fast, she was Swimming before her 2nd birthday. Our son does not like the water as much but he can right himself and remain calm. I think with a little work he will be swimming soon. I think all kids should be exposed to water at a very early age. I grew up on the water and it is a pretty big part of our family so I feel strongly about water safety and learning to swim at an early age.
  16. Stash just got a little better, was able to get some 7.62x39 today at $6 a box. It felt like Christmas, just walked in for something else and there it was, just waiting for me. I was not the prick that bought all of it just because it was there, I left more than I bought. I will check back with them at closing and pick up some more at that time.
  17. I was good on everything until I went and got a new toy. I have a measly 20rds of 7.62x39 for my SKS. OH well I guess that will have to stay in the safe a few more months
  18. Heck I would like to find $30 boxes
  19. I just had another crap offer. 5 boxes of 22lr 550 count from me for 140 rounds of tula 762x39 from him. He even said in his email that he values his 140 rounds at $110 and my boxes of 22lr is worth $20 but he will cut me a deal and not make me split up a 6th box. Man what a nice guy.
  20. I will give you the same answer I get every time I ask what is a fair price.  Whatever you are willing to pay.     I am pretty sure I saw some 2 shows ago for around $230 for 500 rounds. I would say that would be a fair price right now. When CMP had it, they were getting $215 after shipping.
  21. that is exactly what has been happening, the best I offer I have had was 1 for 1 and that was cheap steel case for my brass cased ammo. Also had an offer for a Korean glock mag.
  22. Thanks for all the info, I guess I am not completely out of line not wanting to trade 1 for 1
  23. I am just looking to get some cheap plinking 762.
  24. I was cleaning up some ammo sorage areas and noticed that I had an un opened 100 round box of 556. I put is up for trade on another site to try and get some 7.62x39. I was flooded with emails from people trying to trade me 50 rounds of "hunting" 7.62x39 for my 556. I am getting tired of people put post crazy on what they have and pre crazy on my ammo. I paid $40 for mine and that was pre crazy, so I thought 130 rounds of cheap 762 would be fair given pre crazy price on 762 was $5.17 a box of 20. I rounded up to the value on the 762 to $6 a box of 20. SO I guess my question is am I going about this all wrong. What is the best way to trade in this market. I am not one to tell some one to bend over and take it. I want to be as fair as I can. I do not want to outright sell the ammo because I will never find 762 at a fair price right now. so far the best I have found on 762 is 12 for 20 and that is the tula that WW sells for $5.17. This was mainly a rant but am willing to take advice on what to ask in trade.
