  1. Sorry double post
  2. I wish, that can be fixed. Several of my buddys have shot mine with the same results, and we had no issues shooting their Glocks. Glock admits getting the same results but cannot figure it out and I am out of warranty and tired of dumping money into it.
  3. I have a Glock that has FTF all the time. It has been back to Glock 3 times. The only ammo that has had no issue is CCI. Everytime I am at the range and someone hears the problems I have they comment on how rare for a Glock to have issues is. The only part of the gun that is original at this point is the frame so now I own a Glock 17 that is going to sit in a safe for the rest of my life, I can't sell it and would never trust it to save my life. I can post a pic if this counts as rare.
  4. Used to do this alot in my younger days. I tried it recently and it whipped my butt, guess I am in not in climbing shape anymore.
  5. Well put, I was just trying to stay away from the hookers and blow reference. lol
  6. Exactly, I see these type of post all the time and not once are they taking the guns from people LEGALLY allowed to own guns. If you can't legally own a gun I have no problem from taking your guns away. You have obviously done something wrong to get you on the list of people not able to own guns.
  7. We could argue back and forth all day, i guess we can agree you would like them to sit back and watch the city fail. I would prefer they do everything they can to make money. they have very little money making things in the city. If the North American Auto show leaves the casinos said they were going to leave as well. That auto show is the biggest in the country and is the main money maker for the city, by not building the new place for the show you are just giving up.
  8. 28 hours is the new full time! That way the can claim they added X amount of new full time jobs.
  9. Zombie land was already shot down. Maybe you should send them that idea. Make it extra minutes on the Obama phone and you might have them lined up.
  10. Here is the thing, your Xbox one does not make you money, and you don't have tax payers to answer to. If they said screw the new arena the people that paid the tax would be up in arms. The people that paid for this don't live in the city of Detroit. The tax was implemented in the outlying areas. Only the CITY of Detroit has money issues. the County and all the other areas around there are perfectly fine and have offered to help but the City council and the residents do not want the "County (non-black)" helping them. I think that the City would have been fine if they would have let the state and surrounding area help them.     Here is an analogy for all of you who like them. You have been saving up to get a better Semi to make more money. Yours is shot and you just lost your job because of it. Do you    A. live off that savings just to keep the lights on or  B. get the new semi and get more money coming back in   one will keep the light on for a while the other will allow you to make money and keep them on longer. I know how I would go.      I am not saying that I am proud of what is happening in Detroit but this is the one thing they have done to try and raise money. When you only have 700,000 residents and I would say 90-95 percent live on Government money it is hard to collect taxes. Most of the tax money Detroit gets comes from the Sports teams and casinos. I would do whatever I could to keep them from moving.
  11. that money has been in an account for the Wings for nearly 4 years waiting on building site approval. It was a special hotel tax that was increased to specifically pay for a new stadium. The only way it passed was that it could not be used for anything other than the Stadium. If they don't build the stadium/expo center they will loose the North American Auto Show and that brings over 400 million annually to the Detroit area. Plus it was reported that the Red Wings were going to pay rent of $25 million a year,  So the city will get its money back FAST. I agree that if that money had not been set aside years ago it would be ridiculous that they are building a new Arena/expo center. The current Arena/expo center is about the only thing making money for the city right now, but they are loosing shows and events to newer and bigger buildings in other cities. I was working for another sports team in Detroit when this all came up the first time so I had a big interest in how this would all go down. If this was not approved they could have lost their biggest revenue source.
  12. I think 5 for everything is a decent deal as long as it is not like 2-3 rounds of ammo. I had a guy brag that his gun came with some ammo, when i got there it was 4 rounds, not even enough to fill the magazine.
  13. 100 contact a month is only 5 contacts a day (based on a 5 day work week) and less than 1 an hour. Talking to a PO I was told that going into a store and asking the manager on duty if everything is ok is considered a contact.  I would say that the contact "quota" was just so some PO does not just park his car on the side of the road and sleep his shift away. With a college in Auburn I would assume that the "quota" is not hard to meet especially during football season.
  14. I have used Tiger balm for about 15 years now and I love that stuff. I have not tried the patches but the cream works great.
  15. If it works I would say that is a good deal. 20 cents a round for 308 is great. I don't know anything about that specific ammo but I have not even seen surplus ammo that cheap.

This is where my brother got his http://www.randbrifles.com/usarmym24.htm I don't know if it came with all  of the extras, but he has the rifle with scope. It is way better than both of us so I am not sure of its full potential.

I am pretty sure you could get 3/8 with match ammo on a m24 and get to save $2000+ for training.

Fixed the link to go to the Manufacturer website.

I am not that into extremely high end rifles so this one boggles my mind. I saw this listed on another site and I just don't understand the price. I went to the website for the Manufacturer and noticed that most of their gun were priced around this one so I realized that it was not just a person that thinks his gun is made of gold. I apologize if this violates any rules and feel free to edit it or tell me to. Here is the rifle http://www.gaprecision.net/ga-precision-2013-custom-rifles/ga-precision-fbi-hrt-rifle.html I was just wondering if any of you could tell me why I should pay almost 5 grand for a rifle like this.
  20. The last couple of years that I was a hiring manager I had to ask about Tattoos. I did not mind tattoos that were covered by regular work attire. I was burned by a couple of hires because of Tattoos, all of which were while working for UT. The worst was when I hired a girl that came into the interview with A LOT of jewelry, I asked her about tattoos and she said all can be covered easily. I then told her that company policy stated Jewelery had to be minimal. She was wearing a ring on every finger and some fingers had 2. I got a ton of applicants that wore a lot of rings so I did not think anything about it. Her first day of work she came in with no rings on and I notices tattoos on her fingers, I went over and was surprised to see that her fingers said F*#$ You. I had to let her go on the spot. I just don't know if she will ever get a job because of the tattoos. She was a nice person and seemed very intelligent but I just cannot have her representing the school that way.  If I had to pass on everyone that had tattoos I would have never hired anyone. Luckily some people are smart enough to get tattos that can be covered with a long sleeve shirt and pants.
  21. I know that soccer has passionate fans but this is insane. The video at the end of the article is graphic. Just a warning.   http://www.upi.com/blog/2013/07/07/Referee-decapitated-after-on-field-stabbing/8921373214832/
  22. When I saw the title my first thought was Austins. I have been in there 2 time and both time witnessed an employee talking down to a customer. I figured the 1st time was a fluke and decided to stop in again because I was early meeting up with someone and had 30 min to spare. I walked in and first think I heard was the guy there telling the guy he must be stupid if he wanted to buy a Ruger hand gun. He continued how irresponsible it would be to rely on a Ruger to save your life. When the customer said he carried a Ruger LCP as an EDC the employee said I guess your life does not mean that much to you. I turned around and walked out. I can't stand people that flat out insult someones choice to protect themselves.
  23. I am guessing it is only a matter of time before a useable version is made. When I saw the video I was under the impression this was a type of flashlight that has been around and she just made one for the science fair. I now know that she developed a new type  of flashlight and it has only been around for a couple of months. She is a very impressive young lady, at 15 I was not trying to build a new version of anything.
  24. I was looking around the net and came across a cool idea for a survival light. It does not put out a ton of light but has a long "battery" life.  I was wondering if anyone has made one or seen one work in person.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRdeFcIK8QM
