  1. Merry Christmas everybody!! Guess who got a new glock?
  2. Another Buds nightmare. I actually had an employee ask me if I needed any help. I told him I was looking for a 380 and he pointed down the counter. He no longer offered any help. I stood down at the 380's for 20 minutes while same employee plus a few more walked by not offering service. I went to J.Floyds and was in and out in 10 minutes.
  3. That's a good one!
  4. I appreciate the history lesson that you post on here.
  5. Did you check Oakridge sports men's association. They used to allow 60's on their 1000 yard range. I don't know for sure. I'm like the rest of these guys and don't understand why you would leave Idaho. If you're in maynardville good luck being an outsider.
  6. Yes, thank you for your service!
  7. I was 5 years old when that movie came out. My sister went to see it. It scared the crap out of her. I got to see when they finally brought out on tv a few years later, and it did the same to me.
  8. I've known several people to use those in open blinds. It didn't seem to spook the deer.
  9. I have rubs and scrapes. I went to my lease last weekend and got out of the truck walked 20 yards spooked the 3 point that passed opening weekend. He was making a scrape in the logging road.
  10. Dad wouldn't let me have a BB gun (bad experience in his youth) but I got a Springfield 20ga single shot when I was five. I could only shoot it when he was around. I passed it to my son. He killed his first turkey with it.
  11. My heart hasn't been in it so far this year. I had that 8 point on the ground opening day last year. I got gensing fever this year.
  12. I drove by both Buds and J Floyds today. I didn't stop either. It's hard to stop. They keep me so busy on my route. As Hank Hill says , I'm pimpin out lady Propane all over this town.
  13. It's a pretty nice store. The good thing is that if they don't have what your looking for they can get it from the main store. I overheard them tell a guy that if he found something on the website and bought it he wouldn't to pay taxes on it.
  14. I didn't know about that. I run a route in crossville every week. I talked to a state trooper and he told me he liked shooting there before they closed.
  15. Are they going to open the range back up?
  16. I've been in there several times and always get treated that way. Now I only go on when my friends want to stop by.
  17. Buds is a really nice store but I've never been able to get good service from the people working there. Not too friendly.
  18. I haven't had any issues since I switched to #209 primers which I had to buy the conversation kit for. I love the punch that it has on deer but I would still like to try a shotgun with slugs. I even bought a fully rifled barrel and never used it.
  19. Buds is nice and you can shoot about anything you want. It's a little pricey. I've never shot there but my son has. I shoot at Sevier indoor when I get to go which isn't often.
  20. They were just starting to build the range when I was there. I miss running that route.
  21. O didn't know Barnetts had caught on fire. I haven't been in there since they first opened though.
  22. I've never shot a deer with a shotgun but I have with my inline several times. It's probably my favorite. I killed a 7 point at 92 yards a few years ago with it. I think you'll like it once you try it. As far as using a shotgun during the muzzleloader season, there are some draw hunts like Oakridge that you could use either if I remember correctly.
  23. I saw 5 turkeys and a 3 point Saturday morning from my stand. I decided to pass on the buck. He got lucky. I had him at 20 yards broadside.
  24. Pretty cool. It sure doesn't look like my 1915 favorite anymore.
  25. How bout that left coast? Every time I read something like this it reminds me of a Black rifle coffee company video on YouTube. It's called the bullet button if I remember correctly. It's worth a watch.
