  1. Just my take Take a look at the ballistics for .223 Rem on Remingtons calculator . For example, there is a very wide delta from 100-200 yards for any given projectile, not taking in any other factors. I doubt that you can reliably calibrate the powder charge, especially for 300+ yards. Easier to get a BDC scope for the rifle and your favorite load. To answer your question, I have not seen charts to adjust the powder as you describe. B.
  2. Did not report to police, and waited two hours to go to ER, More to this, I think..... Me, I would have been raising all sorts of hate & discontent.... http://www.knoxnews....strip-incident/
  3. Are they able to now proceed with their plans ?
  4. I am guesing the real issue is the second passport (heard per Fox News radio) that he did not surrender.
  5. yep. I have a few of those in my tackle bag too.
  6. Speaking of "pink", yeah, it is nice to get a wild rainbow (pink flesh, gotta love them bugs!), and they are out there ! As you hint, the lunkers are entirely a different matter. They didn't get that size by snarfing up the yellow bits of Jolly Green Giant, did they ? I thought you was gonna give up the real secret.......it's a few posts back (sorta), but a lot bigger. Big fish, big bait.
  7. Of course, for the rainbows, you can use about anything that looks like TWRA trout chow.
  8. Would it not be simpler to just put dog-training collars on all the passengers? TSA can issue and retrieve them at the gate. Any one passenger gets unruly, flight attendant shocks *all* of them. The innocents can sort it out with the offender outside the terminal.
  9. I think this fellow won the contest - "he who leaves the most toys"....... Wow.
  10. You talking about this pattern & style ? http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Fox-Flash-Spinners-Size/dp/B005AUHJ4U It looks pretty darn good.
  11. You may be a fly-fisherman; if so, I can't address. But if you are bait & tackle, a standard you need to have in the box is 1/8oz & 1/4oz blue/silver Kastmasters and Little Cleos. A lot of the other combos work fine, but *always* have those. Also 1/16oz Roostertails in browns. Try any of your ultralight crankbaits. You may be pleasantly surprised. Of course, if you are going for lunkers, as always, the larger the bait, the better, but I love the action. B.
  12. Hope they don't put them near a Taco Bell....

    Thompson Encore

Correct. As for rimfires, I have not tried any in the Encore. Here is the Bulberry adapter & instructions - http://www.bullberry.com/rimfire.html

    Thompson Encore

Yeah, no one makes better wood for anything than the Thompsons. I am thinking you will want adjustable Hinge Pins (at least I think I do for my rifle frame at least).
  15. For me, the floaters came right after (an hour or so) the torn retina (which was a small, stationary spot, that quickly grew in diameter). The "swishing" (which was all but translucent) turned out to be the interface between gel & liquid during the transition, along with bits of floating gel. All of my troubles occured over less than 48 hours, so keep an "eye" on it.

    Thompson Encore

I added one and put it back With a decent shooter (not me), the .308 pistol (15" Pro-Hunter) is easily MOA. For me it is easily MODeer or MOCoyote, The recoil is actually not as bad as my .44 mag Super Redhawk on full-house rounds. I had repeated (6-8) conversations with my surgeon about shooting. His main concern was cheek-weld on the rifle. I was shooting pistols six months earlier than the rifles. B.
  17. When mine started, all I saw was "swishing shadows"
  18. If *anything* has changed since last doctors visit, you need to go back and have him look it over again. Get him to reccomend a specialist to have on speed dial (and make an appt with specialist for a baseline).

    Thompson Encore

I have two Thompson Encore frames, including a pistol set up in .308 Winchester. I love them. AS for the vision, having gone through a retinal detachment, you need to see a vision specialist ASAP. After it happens is too late. What you describe sounds like you are transitioning from gel to liquid, and when you see the "swishes", it is not really a good thing. if you see *ANY* new "spots" or other "trash" call the doctor (or their emergency line) IMMMEDIATELY. Hope you have better luck than I did. Mine was a "successful" repair and I lost 50% of the vision in my right eye, B.

  21. So when some jerk calls the POPO "from your home", describes an act of violence, resulting in your front door being broke down, and your unsuspecting family on the floor at gun point,: this is no big deal ? It is happening. do a google on "swatting" prank.
  22. Something else to worry about. Computer hacking of your phone for bad people to call police to your house to respond to violent crime. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/crime/swatting-pranks-in-palm-city-result-in-deputies-2368006.html
  23. These on-line intros to reloading - http://www.lymanprod...ToReloading.pdf and http://www.redding-r...ading_guide.pdf will give you additional food for thought.
  24. . Not trying to compare legalities, as much as pointing out how quickly, and how badly things go wrong for all parties involved, although nothing will prevent a civil lawsuit from being filed by the girl (as stupid as that sounds, and that she obviously is).
  25. She was luckier than The Japanese student in Lousiana back in the '90s He was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and not even drunk. Homeowners aquitted of murder charges, but lost a civil suit. http://en.wikipedia....shihiro_Hattori
