I will be consistent with my comments following the secret vote. The leadership positions need to be changed, just like a diaper and for the same reason. I am still dissapointed in all but 4 of the representatives (that being the four that I understand voted to pass the bill through to the floor). With as many co-sponsors as the bill had, several co-sponsors obviously caved to leadership demand.

I can believe it. Curious about it, so yesterday I tried my .44 Mag Super Redhawk at 125+ yds. and was pleasantly surprised with 185 gr LFNs over 6 gr of Trailboss (moderately light load). My shooting sucks, but no doubt I could mess up someone's day at ~150 yards. Figuring about 10 yards per RV slot, that is only about 15 RVs. A large park might have 50 in a row.

pretty accurate assumptions. It is illegal for ham operators to communicate with non-licensed operators in the ham bands. Most of them expect you to play by the rules, and they are self-policing. You would stick out like a turd in a swimming pool.

For decent wireless communications in the Southeast US, 40M in the day time, and 80M at night work fairly well. For all intents and purposes, in the Southeast, a typical repeater range is 50-100 miles (with a few specific exceptions). You will not be able to communicate from TN to FL solely via repeater. There are some internet-to-repeater regimes, that allow local use of vhf/uhf radios on one end or the other. Skype works better nowadays. There are a few select high-power VHF stations the Chattanooga area that can make it to the FL state line under decent conditions, but they have big arrays, high power, and live on SIgnal Mtn, etc. These stations use SSB or CW on VHF to make that haul. Long distance VHF/UHF communications is done (I have 42 states confirmed on 144 Mhz for example), just not with normal equipment and conditions.

I figured both were right after the wheel, which was maybe invented to expedite the process on an older profession (or at least to haul the payment easier).

yep. If it passes through committees, put it on the floor. The other leadership seats complicit in this need to go as well. Also, anyone in the habit of leaving after roll-call needs to go. Cast your own votes, or don't run for office. Do your job, or stay home on your own dime.
