I have a Encore Pro Hunter with a scope, and a Super Redhawk 7-1/2" upon which I can put a red-dot, or leave it with iron sights. I will be using family ATV or UTV, so needs to be good for riding and walking. No paycheck, so limited budget. I have looked at Uncle Mikes scabbard, and their shoulder rigs. As usual, I have procrastinated until the season is nigh.... Anyone have suggestions on a decent holster for hunting ? Thanks, Bert

A question I posted on the .204 Ruger Forum - please add any suggestions or Quick Load calculations Considering Sierra Blitzkings in .204 Ruger in 32 & 39 grains... Where should I start my test loads? I am thinking OAL of 2.250" (to keep it simple) and 24.0 gr (Sierra 32) & 23.5 gr (Sierra 40) respectively of 842. Primers will be Tula SRP for now (they are playing pretty good on the other tests). The test gun is a T/C Encore Thoughts ?

Walmart in Clinton now carries reloading supplies. Right now just a aisle center-stand, but they are going to expand "significantly" according to gun counter guy. Looks like they will be similar to Halls store with RCBS, common calibers & powders. Right now, some RCBS accys, .270 & .223 supplies. Decent selection of IMR powders. RL-19 & 22, H110 & Varget.

anybody still working on SMP-842 ? .204 Ruger 34gr Dogtown JHP ~1 MOA 5 shot group 25.0 gr SMP-842 2.250' OAL Tula SRP 3750 fps avg, 190 ES, 78 SD - Not as good as I hoped, but was not using bench rest (got lazy) OK for plinking & varmint. Maybe with tweak, magnum primer could get to 0.5 MOA (like I do with H4895 on the DTs) Will start loading and fine tuning premium bullets in a week or two.

Historically, the TN Phone Net frequency is 3980 Khz. It would be a good place to listen. contributing when useful. You could always ask Net Control to ask for any TGO members to move up or down the band as needed.

On the back porch. Been listening to yotes howling around the neighborhood. All of a sudden all hell breaks loose in the back neighbors yard (about 75 yds away). Yotes grabbed something, heard the death squeels. spooky !
