  1.   I am pretty sure that is what the bull thought.....
  2. Need to keep up.   These bills were pulled by sponsors today.  They might be brought back next Wednesday.
  3. to drink this ?   Available in of course...Two Packs.   http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2013/01/03/bull-testicle-beer-to-be-sold-later-this-month/?cmpid=cmty_other_Bull_testicle_beer_to_be_sold_nationwide_later_this_month   and no, I don't.
  4.       But...   It was apparently close (a few votes).   Keep supporting the cause.  Call & Email the IL reps. Overwhelm their lines through Wednesday (the next session).   You may want to give the NY legislators a bit of loving too.   B.
  5.   True, but the little  rimfire guns preclude the 300+ yd shots that I would otherwise easily consider.    (some of us deaf, noisy, half-crippled old goats never get much closer than that)
  6.   That's pretty much it.   Not really interested in squirrel hunting with it, but annoyed that I cannot coyote hunt with a decent gun (especially on WMAs) except during BG season.   So, the 17 WRSM being a rimfire, you can take it on WMAs during small game season (and is a bit better for yote).  What I really want to see is a rim-fire .243 Win 25-06, or 30-06   and...what I really, really want to see, is caliber restrictions lifted for coyote hunting, and center-fire restrictions lifted for SG hunting.   But, for now, the caliber shows a trend towards larger rimfires, and puts a kink in TWRA's "logic", as the performance between rimfire and centerfire continues to overlap.
  7. The bills got pulled a few minutes ago.  Not enough votes.
  8. Just found my new rimfire tree-rat gun for hunting on WMAs during small game season.   I knew someone would come up with a ball-buster rimfire  - 250 yard gun, 0.5 MOA, 3000+ fps.   http://www.petersenshunting.com/2013/01/02/introducing-the-new-17-winchester-super-magnum/#ixzz2Gv6GPd22     Addresses the issue of not being able to have a more powerful rifle for yotes during TWRA SG season.
  9. Good job.   I had the privilege  of shooting the prototype for that one, and also the RMR-30 carbine that they are working on.    Both are must-have guns.    Looking forward to your RMR review!   B.
  10. not really.  Just because they do, does not mean that we should.   It is however, fun to watch them squirm.
  11. I don't normally OC, but I did (All over town, bank, WW, Kmart, Food City, etc) the day after CT.    And nothing happened.   Except at WM, I hear "Johnny!  C'mon! Let's Go!"  I Look down between me and the meat cooler (18" away), and six year old  "Johnny" was grinning ear to ear while checking out my Glock.  He never said a word, just skipped on off.
  12. some things, just should be left private.
  13. Just also OC with that jacket. The only people that come up to me in that condition of carry so far have been polite.
  14. yep.   be advised that for Sen. Alexander, voice mail boxes for DC and Knoxville are full (hit Chattanooga box).    I Got through to DC voice mail for Corker, and,   A real,  and pleasant person in DC answered for Chuck Fleischman (working on New Years day).   BTW, I saw on one of the congress-critter web sites that snail mail takes two weeks to arrive at their office due to security scanning.
  15. They did worse than nothing -   http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/12/31/Fiscal-cliff-deal-41-1-in-tax-increases-to-spending-cuts-ratio
  16.   That would have been about the time Lisa Marie got control of the Trust?
  17. Happy New Year, all.   Praying for a decent job this year.
  18. Sorry, but that was a seriously flawed test.  Everyone knows that you have to poke it with a stick ! :waiting:
  19. maybe not -   http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2012312300033&gcheck=1       Pretty violent rhetoric from a "respectible" news organization....
  20.   measure the diameter, and confirm.
  21. What type and diameter are your bullets ?   for 9mm, jacketed are typically 0.355", and cast 0.356".   If you are using bullets for .38/.357, there is a .002" difference, and will be very noticable ( and over sized)
  22. This.   Considering that adolescents in various 'Stans make them (and numerous other designs), it must not be overly complicated...
  23. It is called "3D" printing.  Search for "3D Printing AR-15" and you will find numerous hits.   Later generation 3D printers can easily produce a viable gun receiver.  Oak Ridge National Lab has versions that will work in ceramics, composites, and metals.  Many public access "maker shops" have significant capabilities.
  24. OK.  Thanks ! This I can adapt to 12v battery/solar with no problems.
  25.       What is the voltage output of the wall-wart ?
